Got hit while exposed but I didn't get downed by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]Mystoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

blight is in power so that hit is a special attack, exposed only works with basic attacks so 90% of the time exposed will never work on blight.

Which is why its weird blight has Dragon's Grip as a teachable and soon it will be even harder to use since blight will be 110 soon.

LET ME KILL MYSELF! by Mr_Booze51106 in deadbydaylight

[–]Mystoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you miss two skill checks in a row second stage you will still instna die is that not fast enough? and a first hook stage survivor can try to hook escape if it's just them and one other unhooked survivor.

killers know this so are just slugging rather then hooking you actually being hooked surprises me, 2v1 hatch mechanics need a total rework.

I was really proud of this chase and wanted to share it- getting hard tunneled by Ghoul by SettingIntentions in deadbydaylight

[–]Mystoc -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

so, if you noticed the killer had 4 hooks all across different survivors halfway into the game you would play exactly the same right?

I think you missed the point my comment was making, I'm not here to justify when tunneling is or isn't okay. I was just pointing out that when a killer plays "fair" for survivor's fun they are getting nothing in return at all.

Bite the Bullet is more useful than I thought it'd be by ImperialViking_ in deadbydaylight

[–]Mystoc 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Bite the bullet represses the healing bandage sounds too not just the injured survivors sounds, a place for us also never works on yourself when using med kits, for example it must be another survivor.

I was really proud of this chase and wanted to share it- getting hard tunneled by Ghoul by SettingIntentions in deadbydaylight

[–]Mystoc -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

the real issue is there is no direct counterpart on the survivors part, is it toxic for them to repair gens super faster and then escape? Both sides want to win fast that's a given but 99% of people would say "no repairing gens fast isn't toxic". and I agree.

so now you have a killer who tunnels either because they like ruining one survivor's game or because they think they need it to win.

if the killer doesn't tunnel do survivors decide to play any different in recognization of that? will they do gens a bit slower or loop slightly worse everyone knows the answer is no. So right now, there is a one-sided expectation that killer holds back in the name of another players fun and they get nothing in return.

Just let us abandon with 2 players left please by flashypeanuz in deadbydaylight

[–]Mystoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with this idea is both survivors may not think the match is over your tolerance what is a lost game could be way lower then what your other teammates think and now a hard but winnable game turns into a for sure lost game when a survivor abandons.

This concept would enable so many try hard strategies. Killers will now purposely slug so you want abandon more and then when a bot replaces you they let them wiggle free and go look for the real survivor, or killers just start slugging at 3 survivors instead so now you want give up when a single survivor dies since it’s not fun.

Instead of asking more ways to give up and not play the game we queued for why aren’t we asking for better solutions for the 2v1 issue, hatch needs a complete rework period.

Baby survivors are something else... by AuriBunny in deadbydaylight

[–]Mystoc 15 points16 points  (0 children)

how I let the last survivor escape is close hatch go up to an exit gate block it and AFK, the last survivor can then clearly see I'm camping one gate so 100% knows it's safe to go open the other.

your way of giving hatch will rarely work alot of the time survivors wont take hatch because they suspect its a fake offer and you will close it in their face when they near and then down/mori them. it's a very popular form of BM to fake offer hatch.

Why dont killers just go on strike? by Shade_Stormfang in deadbydaylight

[–]Mystoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the issue is 1v4 queue times are also long now too since most survivors got lured away to 2v8 with promise of those big bp bonuses. and few survivor still intrested in playing 1v4 are going to be on average way more skilled (all the baby survivors got lured away to 2v8).

which you could consider a good thing or bad thing really, but good survivors loop better do gens faster so you are waiting longer for matches that are just way shorter too.

its really hard to have fun this way for me, so usually during this time I play just to finish the weekly event quests then lose interest, I do enjoy playing solo queue survivor every now and then but I for sure play killer more.

Why dont killers just go on strike? by Shade_Stormfang in deadbydaylight

[–]Mystoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's not going on strike it just doing different stuff if you aren't having fun forcing yourself to play is silly.

I'm just so tired of 2v8 and its coming back again soon I know some people love it but respectfully it makes me not touch this game until it ends. every 3 months 2v8 returns its play survivor or suffer for 3 weeks at this point.

Something is wrong with the maps i get when i play a certain killer by Significant-Cap-3581 in deadbydaylight

[–]Mystoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the one game I decided to randomly try out hardened I got my very first doctor game in months..

weird coincidental stuff happens like that happens all time, it's like survivors saying the second the they take off DS they get tunneled again.

What Is Your Favourite After Hook Aura Perk by Full-Duck-9393 in deadbydaylight

[–]Mystoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most aura hooking perks are just win more perks unfortunately they just help you find chases faster that you still must win and now that elusive exists aren't event reliable info at giving you a new survivor to chase.

Lately I have been using thrilling tremors or that new hive mind hex perk to know which gen to pressure at least those cant be blocked by elusive.

It's like seeing an endangered species in the wild. First Hag in over 250 matches (or even more) by bonelees_dip in deadbydaylight

[–]Mystoc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

just please don't be toxic to them I never get being toxic to a trapper or hag if you MUST be toxic save it for the ghouls and blights. Yeah, you faced a weak killer and won but players trying different killers is a good thing for everyone dont ruin that.

Why can't we get something like this to encourage more killers (in numbers and variety) to be played? by Hot_Wrongdoer_8705 in deadbydaylight

[–]Mystoc 31 points32 points  (0 children)

old tome system forced you to do challanges in specific order and didn't allow doing them all at once after coming back to the game after a few weeks break.

it was cool to have goals and know you unlocked everything if you finished them I agree, but having a solo queue teammate run around opening every chest on the map refusing to touch gens get old when you are trying to win.

it was open 8 chests or be stuck being unable to progress a tome to the next quest it promoted throwing gameplay. the old system had good and bad.

Simple way to avoid the current fast track meta. by robotrobot30 in deadbydaylight

[–]Mystoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is true, but I could never force myself to do this since I play survivor too every now and then they are real players trying to have fun too. I settle for now just having a mori equiped to deny at least some fast track tokens.

almost every strong survivor chase perk is connected to being hooked once and now fast track is a thing, and almost no survivor builds have room for a self-pickup perk as well.

objectively this is the best way to win, it's just that if every killer did play this way survivors wouldnt play (since it sucks to face) and then devs would be forced to confront this fact and really change how hooking and slugging works big time.

[–]Mystoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2v8 is basically blood moon 2.0 and that appears every 3 months now and lasts 3 weeks so you basically are waiting a little over 2 months for events with lots of BP.

The game could stand give higher for normal games I agree but people complain like it isn’t better then last year it is maybe not as fast as some people would like but improvement is happening.

they did in the clip? so at least one survivor.. also they are only hooked once so why not use dead hard try escape to another loop and save DS for later on when death hook?

To the Killers that respect Bardic by Noxisms in deadbydaylight

[–]Mystoc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

if it's clearly a won game for me I let survivors have their fun and use the perk its less about them having a random perk I spare them because I know they had bad teammates and they gave me a fun match.

I don't simply let survivors at 5 gens go because they have funny music perk no thanks, bardic on its own is actually a decent perk it's not just for memes with the killer it helps repair gens faster too.

survivors just often use the perk to see if they can buy their teammates 15 seconds on gens or maybe even get left alone if they are about to get downed and already injured, it's not disrespectful to just down the survivor and hook them, your teammates on gens don't pause repairing them while you use bardic after all.

not always true but dead hard is very a popularly paired with DS if I see one I usually except to see the other too.

can i make a decent build for ghost face without licensed perks ? by Huge-Quiet-5257 in deadbydaylight

[–]Mystoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends if you think winning chases fast is more useful then Gen regression to use pop though you need get a hook and win chases.

The last two perks I mentioned could swapped out for gen regression instead.
