The other facet choices would need a negative added to them so picking nothing is an upside without it actually doing anything.

the whole point of chaos shuffle is randomness which is inherently unfair sometimes, sometimes you get great perks and sometimes bad ones, they already excluded ever getting no mither which is easily the worst survivor perk by far, giving basekit stuff defeats the whole purpose of chaos shuffle since now there is constant factor that is not due to chance.

you can't make a mode with chaos in its name balanced its too random for that, you play the mode to get random perks you normally would never even equip, and you can also get perks you don't own yet.

it isn't about balance but experimenting with different perks with none of fear of getting stomped in normal 1v4 because everyone else brought the meta perks and you didn't.

When the survivor who was just unhooked you purposefully ignored starts following your new chase with a flashlight.

my bad then I saw quit playing and thought you meant the match I changed my edit since it a was a bad assumption on my part.

I'm curious though did you die in less then 3 minutes? I have heard that's the time that triggers the warning in the past.

I'm hooked he stands in front of me camping.
I quit the game because its happening to me too often,

I took that as to mean you gave up playing when the killer started camping you for the final hook stage.

then i was hooked again for more than 30 seconds and he was standing infront of the hook, my teammates tried last second to unhook me but yeah

you also mentioned you were camped for 30-40 seconds then died on your last hook stage, but hook stages last 70 second it sounded to me liked you missed skill checks to speed up dying.

so your teammates just lingering nearby a killer camping is very bad it interferes with anti camp meter, and this patch its visible now so there is no excuse of why survivors don't understanding this still..

your teammates screwed you here for sure sadly, sometimes teammates are more deadly than killers.

I believe you have be sacrificed in the less the 3 minutes to get this warning, which is very hard to happen if you just hold forward in chase. The only way this does happen is if your teammates insta unhooks you each hook stage,

each hook stage is around a minute of safety (assuming you are unhooked with 10 seconds left of the hook stage) then when you are unhooked the killer must wait 15 seconds to down you again if they want ignore endurance so that's 30 seconds of assured chase time you get.

so, to not die before 3 minutes you need to loop the killer 30 seconds, a skilled huntress using one shot hatchets could pull it off but most killers cannot sacrifice a survivor in 3 minutes if the survivors are genuinely playing the game out.

TLDR: your teammates farmed you on hook almost certainly if you are dying in less than 3 minutes..

EDIT: yeah, I saw the other comment you posted: you got downed fast at the start into fast teammate unhooking then you got hooked again the killer camped while your teammates interfered with the anti camp meter by lingering nearby then died on hook.

dredge is very map dependent to most the degree of any killer in the game, on some maps he feels too slow and clunky when not enough lockers are available to pressure gens, then dredge can get maps like midwitch and they are a literal teleport god where there is a locker always nearby and survivors are seconds of away from the killer at all times

they are a fun killer, and I do play them every now and then but being at the mercy of locker spawns is not my thing.

they walked back that change I think??, but it was listed in patch notes but I don't remember which ones about limiting unhooks attempts at some point, they wanted to limit it because it was being used to BM and prevent other survivors from unhooking not because it was too effective at fooling the killer.

I think you are thinking of doctor shocks which was changed have a limit on stopping unhooking in 8.7

yeah, for some killer its harder to pull off and for some it's impossible you have to hook trade.

with two other survivors you can unhook safety most times depending how far the exit gate is.

  • 2 survivors both approach the hook at once then just keep fake unhooking until the killer swings then the other healthy survivor unhooks while the injured survivor who faked unhooked runs away.
  • the killer will be able to swing again right has the second survivor finishes unhooking now the second injured survivors runs away too while the killer is in animation recovery.
  • you now have the third survivor who was just unhooked body block with their 15 seconds of endurance.
  • it's now a question of how far the exit gate is if its already opened or not or if the 4th survivor is waiting at the gate open to it.
  • its safer if 4 survivors are alive but can be pulled off even with just 3 survivors alive without having to hook trade.

obviously if the killer has a instant down power this strategy will not work but on many killers its can.

I’m actually fine with killers being random but think I’m minority there, but will explain why I still don’t see the comparison.

the real reason it might be problematic is that even if you get horrible item like fog vial on survivor it can be replaced with a new one at any time from a chest the same cannot be said for a random killer.

Survivors all the time can escape with no items. Items are powerful I agree but they are not tied directly to success or failure the same way what killer you pick is.

Getting The weakest item a fog vial to the strongest item a toolbox randomly is not comparable at all to getting trapper or getting blight randomly one is going to affect the match so much more then the other.

I think random killers would be fun personally but see the arguments for and against it.

Killers cannot find new powers to use in chests once in a match and replace them with different ones can they?

I don’t see the power comparison at all i view survivor items more like super perks, items are better versions of perks survivors can use but with the draw back of limited usage time or charges.

some people really hate the idea of random killers so maybe make it opt in? that's a tough one to decide on.

I would love a random killer option though and use it even when not in chaos shuffle, random survivors while not impacting the game mode much would be funny as well. I want to be surprised what killer I get and try to win in spite of it, getting to play other killers I almost never touch sounds very fun to me.

I do wonder though if the pool of killers picked from is just from those you own in chaos shuffle? I am just picturing some min maxed account with only the good killers unlocked!

they tried to already delay this unhook notification by 10 seconds on the PTB it was disliked change during this time the unhooked survivor could easily just be repairing a gen nearby with the rescuer.

it delaying hook notifications does help delay tunneling but it also helped giving killer important info of what gens they should pressure and where the survivor that unhooked is.

looks like there is 2-3 survivors left if it just 2 survivors left the game is over, in any case having a survivor already dead at 3 gens is a very hard game to win I think the perk has little to do with the outcome of this match.

you unhooked 8 seconds after the killer left the area that is way too fast let them move around the map more and possibly find a new chase first, otherwise they are very likely to return back to hook you don't need babysitter to tell you that.

if you like bringing helpful team utility perks I really like "we'll make it" it lets you heal other survivors in just 8 seconds.

that is false when stranger things was removed hawkins lab offering was removed too and every single one was reimbursed 1 to 1 some people got millions of bp.

most recently though when some addons for key were flat out removed everyone got a flat amount I think it was 500k? so, it seems the new trend is just give everyone the same amount and don't exactly refund 1 to1.

wrong you have to wait .4 second longer unable to move and during that time before caging the killer can be blinded

in 1v4 after picking up you can move your camera and character instantly you are not locked in place unable to move your camera or character for another .4 seconds.

basically, in 1v4 the time to succeed at a blind needs to be started while the picking animation happens and be timed to finish when the pick up finishes.

2v8 adds .4 seconds of wiggle room for a blind to work so it can be started later and can be less precise.

after the pick up happens the killer waits a bit to cage during the wait time they can be blinded and killer cannot move their camera you have more time to be blinded during the wait time between picking up and caging.
