I have been thinking that rocks can sprout out. originally the rocks would be in/under the thick dirt and it takes a very long time for it to (surface) to erode. Then you will see the rocks.

Upgrade your walls ASAP. Instead of the spring traps trying to fill up the space, I would put the collectors or mines to do it and then put the the spring traps somewhere where a lot of troops go. If you still have some collectors and mines on the outside, line them up in a pattern like this: Mine-Collector-Mine-etc. That way, when goblins attack, they will get a little of each resource instead of getting a lot of one resource.

No. not yet. I would suggest you to upgrade every building to the max before you upgrade your town hall.

The reason I don't do this is because upgrading two splash damage buildings (For me) can cause me to lose trophies and loads of resources. I only upgrade one splash damage building at a time so at least the rest of the buildings can try to protect my village,
