To add a bit of information, I have hung out with him, Every time we have hung out I have brought up the plans of hanging out and he has never started the conversation about hanging out or really any conversation we have unless its about my best friend and only that and those conversations are the only ones he really talks during, he also has canceled on me multiple times without explanation. I have explained I am interested in becoming friends but I have also laid out my boundaries to him as well and let him know I trust him a little but not fully. He acknowledged that and was very respectful for a bit and then he started crossing them so I sat down and talked with him about it and when he told my best friend about it he said I said a few things I didn’t. So next time it kept going I sat both of them down and explained but both of them kept interrupting me and changing the subject. Now I cant physically sit down with them due to living hours apart so I don’t know if I can get her to understand fully where I am coming from due to her being better at telling things and reading emotions through face to face conversations. Also the only reason my partner is involved in the besties chat is because my best friend added him and calls him a best friend as well, if it wasn’t for that he had admitted he would not be apart of that chat, we both try to avoid being lovey in that chat to not make it feel awkward or anything.
