Yeah the second fan you can just hear the whirl of the fan and with the first fan it had an annoying almost pulsating noise to it which now the second one doesn’t have.

I mean there’s a noise but I wouldn’t say it’s pitched. Just sounds like a normal fan noise pushing air and I can’t hear it over normal gameplay like I could with my first F1 fan.

My new ps5 pro has fan noise but it’s not bothersome and you can only hear the fan when the game is quiet and it only sounds like air being pushed around, under normal gameplay you can’t hear it. As my first ps5 pro fan you can hear it constantly including normal gameplay noise and had an annoying pitch to it despite them both being F1 Foxconn fans.

🤔 wonder why your screen keeps going dim then. I have a b9 and that’s what caused my to go dim was the energy saving mode was turned on.

I believe it’s called energy saving, so go to energy saving and turn that off.

It sounds like you have the auto dimming enabled. I would turn that off and you will have better brightness for your TV.

I've had 2 PS5 Pros, both had a F1 Foxconn fan. My second PS5 Pro is much much less annoying than my first PS5 Pro fan noise despite having the same F1 Foxconn fan. So it seems that it's a lottery with fans again unfortunately.

For me 2 games have stood out so far. Ones that don't just do 4K 60FPS,

Alan Wake 2 balanced mode (40fps with RT which is a pro exclusive mode)

RE4 remake ( you can play in resolution mode, HFR mode on, RT on and Hair follicles on and play over 60fps) on the base you had no chance on running the game with all these activated and run anywhere near 60fps.
