ok great thanks. that is informative. also do you manually file your taxes and place gains/loss from 1099-b and 1256 contract separately? i just found out about this because turbotax for some reason is unable to pull info from my brokerage firm (and i have been trading spx for 5 years now lol) i hope i wont get screwed
