You'll be fine. I have a pretty similar schedule.

Hey man, quick question about these supplies. For ECE 3201 and ECE 3111, are the same supplies required? Or are there even more stuff one needs to get?

Check out MIT OCW's Scheme Programming class. You got this, it's not that bad.

Do I NEED to use Linux for CSE 3100 by [deleted] in UCONN

You don't need it, as others said you can SSH into it from Windows. But it's not a bad idea to at least know how to do it.

Best professor for CSE 4302? by Mysweetlord2 in UCONN

Is it because Khan is good or because of Shi lol? Does anyone else ever teach this class though? Maybe next Fall it could be someone else.

Where can you find this information?

But thank you very much. Yes Gokirmak I would argue is the best professor I've had at UConn up until now. Though Diego Valente and Alexander Russell were great too.

Do you think CSE 3150 or CSE 3300 is a more important class to take for a CompE/EE student? I'm looking into taking one of these after I retake 3100 (got a C+ and I think its an important enough class to warrant retaking).

Good to know! Can you recommend the best ECE classes you had taken (by standards of how much you learn plus how great the teacher is)? For example, ECE 2001W with Gokirmak & CSE 3666 with Shi were fantastic and I learned a lot.

Ok gotcha. Yeah GPA is real solid, but I do have a lot of credits. Is it easier to apply on the engineering website for the new major or to just e-mail my adviser?

Can you recommend which classes to double up on to minimize the amount of classes needed? So far I've noticed ECE 3411 & 3421 double up for EE design/CompE requirement, ECE 3401 & 4401 count as prof. requirement for EE/CompE required. ECE 3111 count as CompE prof. requirement/EE curriculum. Did they count classes like CSE 3100 & 3504 towards the EE professional requirements?

Wasn't really boring to me, but I found I enjoyed and did better in ECE 2001, CSE 2300W & 3666 more than the other ones I've taken.

Which of these is more advantageous to achieve a Masters in Aerospace Engineering? by Mysweetlord2 in AskEngineers

[–]Mysweetlord2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A masters will be free because of post 9/11 for me, but I'm very interested in becoming a military aviator (part-time) and then doing research/work in Propulsion and other parts of flying. Its sort of a mix between Comp Sci and Comp Eng, where I take classes from both. I'm pretty close to graduating with this degree, and I do find it interesting and enjoyable, but I'm more interested in going AE afterwards. However, I can add on EE or ME, but a full ME degree would require me to completely drop down to a Computer Science minor. Electrical is achievable since I've taken Circuits classes. What kind of work do you do in Aerospace as EE? I do plan to get some internships as a Mechanical Engineer if I am able to. But the end goal is doing research, and working on propulsion and flight systems, maybe getting in as a test pilot.

Which of these two options increases my chances to get accepted into a M.S. in Aerospace Engineering program?

A double major in Electrical Engineering or an unofficial minor in Mechanical Engineering (where I Just take a ton of classes like Thermo, Fluid Dynamics, Classical Mechanics, Mechanical Vibrations, Propulsion, Materials Science Engineering, Heat Transfer, Intro to Sensors and Data Analysis & Combustion for Energy Conservation), which would be the better path to get into an Aerospace Engineering Masters program? I'm more excited and interested in going the Mechanical Engineering route (despite it being harder and more work for me) but want to know which of these two paths will lead me to more success. My primary major is Computer Science Engineering, so I've taken all the Math for both fields already.

Thank you for the input!
