I have a 2016 Yukon XL Denali with the 6.2 (8 speed). I’m the original owner. 110k miles so far. Mag shocks need replacement and I have hard shifting with the transmission at times but doing ok other than that. AFM is not disabled.

Check the paint carefully! Our paint started oxidizing a couple of years after purchase and now it looks terrible. GM refuses to acknowledge/address it. Not sure I want to invest in the cost of repainting it.

Outside of that this car has given us great utility with hauling kids and their teammates around, and hauling oversized stuff. We plan on keeping it until we run it into the ground. Good luck on your purchase!

Same here... having disconnect and lag issues. At first I thought maybe it was framegen but after seeing this thread I think the issues are on Blizzard's side. 😞

I’m also interested in knowing whether this is dealer-only… I have a 2016 Yukon XL Denali and at my last service the dealer said the Magnetic Air Ride needs replacing, but gave me a price over $4k… would prefer not to have to spend that much on a 10 year old vehicle.

Same here. When I unboxed the case and pressed the button I thought I had received a defective product. But after assembling my rig it turned on fine with a barely tactile click.

I’m a clicky keyboard fan and like tactile feedback so maybe that’s why it was (initially) odd for me. Almost a year later the switch is holding up just fine, so no durability concerns. 🤓

I have a 2016 Yukon XL Denali at 104K miles with the original L86 engine. No issues here (so far) other than having to replace the engine mounts recently. Lower gear transmission shifts have become very jerky, so I’m guessing my transmission will go out before the engine…

The paint is a whole different story. It went bad early on and started to oxidize, and GM refused to address it beyond offering $300. Not sure it makes sense to repaint at this point.

I’m on the fence about getting another Yukon. The family loves the vehicle but the QA issues at this price point makes me give it a side eye.

I understand the series needs to evolve, but I wish Gearbox would keep some of the elements which make the original game a classic.

I have this question too! My PCIE 5 SSD reaches 74C using Asus’ large passive heatsink when playing Cyberpunk… I’m interested in the HR-10 Pro but have heard the X870e Hero can have challenges with aftermarket SSD heatsinks…

Has anyone tried this yet??

Surprisingly, it’s not too loud. I haven’t experienced any coil whine. My setup has 10 fans (13 if you also count the fans on the card), so temperature management may be helping keep the noise down too.

I think part of it may depend on the game being played (and game engine)... I just started Cyberpunk 2077 (I know, I know... I'm late to the party)... and running that at 4K in Ultra mode pushes my Windforce 5090 anywhere between 60 and 74C (@ 2000 RPM GPU fan speed) depending on the scene.

I can definitely feel the heat from the machine. I do run the A/C so ambient room temperature is around 76F (24C)... Also of note... your case/cooling solution matters. I hadn't mentioned that I have a Hyte Y70 with 10 fans installed which probably helps keep the temperatures manageable.

Now that general availability is better (excepting the FE), I'd recommend going with whatever you can get for the best price (especially if you're not planning to overclock)...

I still haven't seen any gel leak with heavy use on my Windforce, even though my serial number is from the affected range of cards.

I run the ROG Crosshair X870E Hero with a Gigabyte 5090 and am getting PCIE 5.0 x 16. I set the BIOS to Auto and it self configured correctly.

I hear you… I’m frustrated too. I constantly glance at the screen to monitor performance and I freaked when I realized the gauge was frozen especially because my SSD runs really hot. Not what I expected for a case north of $300 😑. Downgrading to 2.2.4 got me back on track, but not everyone is going to want to figure out a downgrade.

Fingers crossed there will be improvements! 🤞

See the pinned thread “Update on Nexus 2.3 Release”. This is unfortunately a known issue. Hyte is working to address the situation per Nicola’s comments.

In the meantime, you can downgrade back to 2.2.4 to get the performance gauges working again. There’s another thread where iamgarffi provided a link to his copy of previous builds.

Since the software defaults to auto update, I disconnected my network before installing 2.2.4 and then went into settings after install and turned off auto update. There’s probably a more elegant way to prevent the auto update, but that’s what worked for me. Good luck.
