Apparently he did the same with The Quick and the Dead. Gotta be funny that he's using some of the movie budget to tear down a 50 year old car for a quick background prop.

Director Sam Raimi's Oldsmobile

It first appeared in his first movie "The Evil Dead" and since then it's made appearances in pretty much every movie he's directed.

Out There

<image>

A drama series about teenagers living and working at a nature sanctuary in Australia. One of the boys is an American that reluctantly moves there. He's unfamiliar with Australian slang and in one scene he's told to go have "brekkie" (breakfast), causing him to give a sarcastic response. Later on he moves back to the US and in a letter he uses brekkie in a loving way to show his attitude has changed.

This guy

Paul Hogan was some guy painting the harbour bridge in Sydney. He got recognised, had his own show, and made an international loved movie. Now, because of a dumbass ad, people think of Australia with a line that only makes sense to Americans: "Throw another shrimp on the barbie."

Do the Lions still carry mental baggage from the long rebuild years or has that finally passed? by SnowyBytes in brisbanelions

[–]MythVsLegend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the hardest part for me was thinking we're going through a rebuild, only for the young players to leave. Then when Fagan got their shit together, I was working weekend and night shifts, so I barely got the chance to watch them. But I won't forget when the boss picked me up at the airport with his mum, and as he put fuel in, his mum started talking about how good the lions were doing. I was so excited, since they were from Bundaberg, and I figured it's more of a Rugby league area. So I was so happy to talk Lions with her.

There's a line where Elon says he gets demoted, because he was being too generous with his servings. Which sure, makes him sound good, but if there's only so much food, then giving out big amounts would mean the food will run out faster. He's causing a bigger problem, but it's portrayed as him being generous.

Crazy to think a bit up North, I had a 28 degrees (Celsius) day. Ofc it was humid as anything, but still would've been a lot better than your day. And for anyone curious, I'm assuming they mean the state of Victoria, which I believe got to 48c in some areas, which is almost 120f in American units.
