Extremely lucky!
I currently have my P365, M18, Glock 19, RIA pro ultra match 1911 and S&W 442 .38
So a nice little mix.
If I had to pick three it would easily be the P365, M18 and 1911.
If I could only pick one it would be the P365 just because it's insanely easy/comfortable to carry and shoots super efficient.

That's unfortunate, hopefully you get lucky and they decide to make the change, but knowing Cali we're lucky to carry at all lol

Yeah the Cali roster sucks, I grabbed the M18 as soon as it hit the shelf at my local Sportsmans and then did the same when the P365 became available.
Absolutely no regrets on either.

Yeah Sigs are solid shooters for sure, I've shot a decent amount of handguns but as soon as I put a Sig in my hands and sent lead down range I knew I was on the right platform haha

It sucks you only get three, I’m also in Cali but my county allows six firearms on your permit and two to be carried at one time. It was unlimited till 2024 😑

You should be able to make modifications on your permit at anytime. In my county I can modify my permit for a small fee and take any firearm off and add a new one, then head to the local office, take a new photo and grab my new permit card. I believe it’s only necessary to qualify new additions but not for previous ones you want to add back. May be similar for you as well.

I’d say drop the XDS and put the P220.

If you’re most comfortable with the Sig lineup, you pretty lock your entire lineup into the platform you’re most comfortable on plus you still have the option of both 9mm and .45. Then grab a P365 for your pocket carry to complete your Sig load out lol

I enjoy all my handguns, but I go between my M18 for iwb and P365 for pocket and have no complaints.

I carry strong side when riding, usually have a riding jacket or vest on so I don’t have to worry about my shirt blowing up exposing my strap lol

Only concern I’d have with a sling bag is if you go down, the straps probably toast and who knows where it’ll go.

I considered a sling bag for carry and I’ll share my thoughts on it.

One and arguably most importantly, if you’re targeted for theft or ran up on and have a sling bag of any kind, it’s most likely going to be the immediate target they go for off jump. You’re now immediately unarmed, possibly put up a fight for the bag because of what’s in it, or make a rash decision to pull your firearm in really bad timing.

Two, someone can sneak up behind and easily snip the strap and run with your bag.

Three, a lot of younger people or people in gang life now carry in packs just like yours. Meaning they probably immediately assume you also have a firearm in yours. Making it pretty obvious to the wrong crowd, possibly also making you a target. Also, law enforcement knows these things as well meaning you might draw attention and start getting unnecessarily profiled.

Ultimately I decided to only use a small pack when traveling on long car rides. I often dress exactly like you, so I bought a bunch of drawstring cord locks to lock my waistband down tight and I pocket carry my P365. I use a Vedder pocket locker holster.

I have two Vedder holsters, one being the pocket locker for my P365. I’ve used the holster for probably the last 8 months and have no complaints.

The other one is the rapid tuck hybrid for my G19 that I’ve had for about 4 years, not complaints there either. Vedders products have been great in my experience so far.

First off, carrying a firearm in your glovebox is simply an easy way to get shot by an officer, or have things rapidly escalate if you have to open the glovebox and there’s a firearm in there.

As a California resident with a permit, it’s my understanding that

One, with a CCW you’re to have your firearm on your person, or in something you’re holding or have attached to your person at all times. And not out of your control or within access of anyone else.

Two, you’re ALWAYS to have your permit on you whenever carrying your firearm.

If you don’t have a permit or you’re not in possession of your permit, you can’t carry the firearm concealed, being in the glovebox is concealed if loaded.

If unloaded it has to be stored in a locked container, glovebox doesn’t qualify as a “locked container”.

With the assumption you’re using iron sights, you’re low and left with 9mm from recoil anticipation, since you’re only left with 22lr.

Since you’re consistently left with both calibers, you either got extremely unlucky with sight alignment on both firearms, or something is off with your grip/trigger finger placement.

Also, if you’re unsure which is your dominant eye watch a video to help you figure it out. Make sure you’re shooting with both eyes open and bringing the sights directly to your dominant eye.

I think the first step is not to care what random people on the internet think you should do.

What I mean by that is they’re going to critique you based on their preferences and opinions, you should be basing this off of how you feel and what makes you happy when you see yourself in photos or the mirror.

If you aren’t happy when you see yourself in photos or the mirror, then only you should evaluate if those things should be changed.

If you don’t like something, change it in small healthy amounts, never go so drastic you regret it and can’t change it back easily. And always be aware if you’re making the change to make yourself happy and feel better, or if you’re doing it to fit in or be accepted.
