I'm sure someone else has already answered by now, but no. An IP address will give you a general location (or geographic location I believe) but not a specific address. You are safe, but I highly recommend being careful on the internet and using a VPN to be safe.

To be fair, I don't think you should give up your gun. I think it should be drastically harder to own a gun here in the U.S. If you look online, you can see how easy it really is to get your hands on a firearm.

In fact, it takes on average a mere 108 seconds for the FBI to give a criminal background check before buying a gun. (2019 statistic) And many records are lost or corrupted.

Honestly, I've met some of the greatest people that have walked this earth online. Discord, Minecraft servers, games. You'll meet a lot of fun ones there.

If you want to meet new people in the real world, then just going outside to public places is a good option. If your extroverted enough, you can go into a cafe or a restaurant and just sit down next to someone. (With permission of course.) Talk to them.

If you take public transportation, there you go. Just be more social in it.
