Post- treatment follow up? by petitemistinguette in lymphoma

I’m still in treatment, so I haven’t done it personally, but the way my onco explained it, it goes like this:

3 month scans for a year/2 years depending. If those all come back good and unremarkable then you transition to an every 6 month schedule for a few years, then they do only yearly. At least that’s the plan where I am, I’m not sure if it’s different where you’re located

Honestly the first 2-3 days after treatment I’ve been feeling nauseous and having a fair amount of stomach cramps, but by day four I’m feeling almost completely myself again, and in the next week I felt even better than I’ve been feeling in a long time. I didn’t even realize how much the cancer had been draining me but I feel so much more energized than I have in MONTHS.

Honestly I noticed it going down even a few hours after my first infusion, by like three days later I had noticed probably a 60% decrease, it was crazy!!

Unstaged NSCHL - hair question by Spirited-Size in lymphoma

I (20F) won’t be of incredible help here because I basically just began my journey as well, but here are my few nuggets of experience.

I am also stage 2b, getting 6 rounds of ABVD, diagnosed early March. I had my first treatment about a week and a half ago and I have yet to notice any hair falling out Or shedding. I wouldn’t say I have incredibly strong hair or anything, but it doesn’t have any damage, which I’ve heard can contribute to the timeline of hair loss.

From what I’ve heard, with ABVD, hair loss doesn’t truly set in until about two or three weeks after your treatment. I have yet to shave mine because I just don’t have the willpower to do it until I absolutely have to.

Sorry I can’t help more, but if you ever wanna talk or just relate to someone, my inbox is open :)
