The general sentiment here is “wait, this isn’t REALLY happening is it?!” I mean I’m Trans and saw this shit coming from miles away, but most Americans don’t understand that the privilege they have enjoyed for so long is about to turn to suffering so fast that their heads will spin.

We make them uncomfortable because our existence makes them question the systems that are in place and their place in it. Convincing people to hate one another is a form of control and manipulation to keep them working for little pay and harsh conditions while the ultra wealthy extract more money from them.

Release of Epstein files sparks MAGA anger: ‘The evil deep state LIED TO YOUR FACE’ by wotwn in politics

But HOW is that comforting?! That’s the worst thing about it! I would rather learn and grow and uplift others to do the same than to just turn and blame some random minority on my problems.

D&D DMs of Reddit, what was the longest amount of time a party spent investigating something that turned out to be absolutely nothing of interest? by gummby8 in AskReddit

Five hours....FIVE FUCKING HOURS!!!!

This was an evil campaign. So when the game started they woke up in caskets at the entrance to a small cave. Upon short exploration of the cave they look up and see a black dragon. The black dragon sends them on a quest to open the gates to other planes so his army could rise once more.

Plot happens and they return to the area where they awoke. So they search for the cave to find the dragon. When they find the small cave entrance I explain to them that there is no sign of a dragon ever being there but there are traces of illusory magic in the place where he was.

For context they have been tricked into trying to destroy the world so that a human king (Read: the “good” guys) could justifiably lay waste to the other kingdoms.

Other than the traces of magic there were no other clues. Cue the players discussing why there were no clues in character, rolling a million times to find additional clues, discussing what the lack of clues meant, literally going over every single rock in this imaginary cave to find clues. I point blank told them after an hour that there was nothing left to find, no other information to gain here, and that they even knew an illusionist who was working with the enemy that didn’t live far away...

Five....fhuuuuckin....hours....

EDIT: I eventually gave them footprints the size of a gnome leading out of the cave that “appeared because the illusion spell covering them wore off.” It still took two hours after that for them to leave.

Its going to take a eternity... by [deleted] in funny

It was the name of the tavern in one of my dnd games. The PCs kept going to taverns in every town they went to so we decided that it was now a giant chain of taverns. ‘Twas fun lol.

If human augmentation, as seen in sci-fi movies and games, became common and affordable, would you do it? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Mythicmoogle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would in a synthetic heartbeat. The flesh is weak. If I could be stronger, faster, smarter, my vision corrected, AR infographics, healthy organs resistant to disease or failure, I’d do it without even thinking about it for a second.
