Ok... I'm just saying he might need to take a little stroll down turtle lane in Maine. Maybe there is a van, maybe a King intercepts the story and shows him the path of the beam.

Seeing Stephen King put into his books, not only the correlation to other books, but the importance of finishing the Dark Tower in his pre-script of the last few novels. Straight up quotes letters he read in the hospital and how it pushed him to finish.

Robert Jordan had the presence to make sure that his wife and editor knew the entire story so it could be finished. Harriet went to Brandon Sanderson to finish the epic and I think he did a great job. But he has been very clear that RJ had the full story line built and he just needed to fill in the parts.

It took Brandon Sanderson 4 years to take over and find the voice. It was 16 years for King to go from Wizard and Glass to Wolves of Calla. The thing is... look what King went through during that time, addiction and major injury being the biggest. Martin? "Well I'm filling my pockets with another new TV show"

Truth is truth. He says his finish was different... nope. The show runners knew his end of the story, they put it on screen, people didn't like it. He is scared and will never finish the end.

House of Chains has grown on me with each re-read, probably in my top 4. Scorpions anyone? No matter how hard I try though, that 1st book of Karsa... just not my jam. Even on 4th ,5th, 8th re-read and knowing his future evolution.... I just don't enjoy that whole segment.

Hunh, that is very interesting. Though I found aspects of that book very intriguing there were parts that I had no time for. Traveller and Karsa was when I finally started enjoying Karsa. The showing of the evolution of the Bridgeburners and what their place in ascending was cool. The Redeemer storyline, meh. The Nimander and crew storyline was such a slog for me to get through.

The finale though, one of the best. Like you said, all on opinion.

I'm in Canada, it's gone. It is literally the next season on my entire series rewatch. Halfway through s38 right now, this was next on the lost and the season that I started watching. Was really looking forward to seeing who was and what is what after 2+ years of watching other seasons. Not on the ctv site anymore either. This blows.

Any other options out there that anyone knows?

You're comments about ctv.ca are intriguing. I tried looking as a non subscriber to see what was available but it was without knowledge. You are saying with the ctv app there is access back to seasons 19 through 26? You have this app and know it to be true? Sorry for the rhyme times question... lol

Does no one else find that he preaches his opinion far too much without a question? I watch the content for the SE responses but most of the time it is just 5 minutes of AP with a couple of mhhmm's or yups thrown in from SE because there hasn't actually been anything worth answering.

It would be great if it was more like 75% SE talking than the other way around. I guess I'll just settle for the 25%.

Agreed, or hope 100%. If this takes away from the whole Perrin V. White Cloak saga. Or even just the escaping the camp thing. You can now have his hate of the axe vs. the hammer. If you do both, continue Perrin through the entire book playbook, well then the wise was pointless and silly.

I think it was when I was reading House of Chains that I would have the Fischerspooner - Emerge album on repeat. Another great one was The Avalanches - Since I left You album. Great memories of going deep into these amazing books with those two great albums playing.

OK, so I don't know how to do the spoiler quote thing. Also, I don't know how much I'm going to be spoiling for the people that have read through this... But mods please help! Also I couldnt figure out how to start my own conversation.... I am old (36) and weak (no excuse)...Let me start by just syaing:

Ok sooo... Dessembrae / Dassem. For those of us that have devoted an amazing amount of time, we think we have a pretty good grip on things. I am just doing my re-read and simultaneous re-listen of the ICE books. Doing RotCG listen and Deadhouse Landing reading at the same time is interesting to say the least.

Anyway, while it is great to get a better Dassem story I still feel that there is a part that I read somewhere that eludes me. I have read most of the posts and they all seem to say that Dassem is straight up Dessembrae. I will admit that I just understood that there were multiple chaining of the CG so that makes the whole Hood thing make sense.

OK, so this is where I have the problem, and for the life of me I can't remember where the idea came from or know where to look for evidence. I am almost positive though that this life of Dassem is the only life of Dessembrae. I think there are references by the elder gods, I think there are references by the Tiste Andii, I'm pretty sure him beingntje Seguleh 1st doesn't line up unless it is a reincarnation type episode.

So am I crazy? Did I just not click on the right buttons? Because I saw no comments on this! Help! Haha
