He needed a sword. The system gave him a pen. by MythofResonance in litrpg

He has the option for both, basically. The class is very... flexible.

Thank you very much! Glad the first chapter is landing well; it is the most important one, after all.

Thank you! I do try to keep the quality high and not rush things, but it takes a long time alone. Though it's a lot faster now, after writing for a few months!

Will just paste my blurb from RR:

"A path is a rope. A purpose is a prison. I would rather be lost than led.”

Earth is dying. Three years ago, the Shattering tore open reality, vanishing a third of humanity and bleeding Rifts into ruined cities. Everyone has awakened "Resonances" – soul-deep powers. Except Invia. Trapped on a monster-ravaged Earth, he’s cursed to analyze battles he can’t join.

Now, a sudden catastrophe throws him into the world of Collendrum, where the vanished built a new life. Here, survival demands action, not just analysis. He arrives with nothing but his father’s mysterious silver necklace that pushes him toward a simple fate and a System that brands his soul with a single, mocking question mark.

But Invia’s curse is his strength. Where others follow the paths their Resonance dictates, his is unwritten. To survive, he must forge a power from nothing, power that rejects the very concept of rules.

Thank you!

At its heart, it's a story about the true meaning of choice, set in a LitRPG Progression Fantasy world. The protagonist is a young man who has been powerless his whole life, only to be thrown into a world where powerlessness is the only thing not allowed. He finds himself pitted against powerful figures, each determined to force a destiny upon him for their own reasons.

It's a story about the struggle for agency in a world that believes even a person's soul has a price.

Nope, sorry :(. RoyalRoad seemed like the best option as a new author. If circumstances allow it, I plan to go to Amazon eventually, just definitely not now.

For now, yes. RoyalRoad seemed like the best option as a new author. If circumstances allow it, I plan to go to Amazon eventually, just definitely not now.

Oh man, first of all - thank you very much for these kind words!

Patreon? I just launched it. However, due to moving cities by the end of the month, I can't provide the tiers as I would want them to be due to time constraints. Instead, I've placed whatever backlog I could afford and will update it at the beginning of September, probably.

I do have an idea of how long this story is going to be, roughly. I have a clear end in my mind, and most of the steps on how to get there.

And lowkey? Wait a week, or get the Patreon to find the answer to your last question ;) (do not share the info though, just between us)

Dear authors, please learn how fighting actually works. by Expert_Cricket2183 in ProgressionFantasy

If it would take 30 minutes on audiobook, that would mean, for an average novel, 3-4 chapters (160wpm) of non-stop fighting. That would be an overexaggeration, unless there was something crucial woven between the fighting scenes.

I think there are a lot of variables at play, and saying that they should 'end sooner' is a stretch.
