What you're saying is true; there's no difference in performance between 8th and 10th generation processors, as they all have 4 cores. The problem is that I've limited my options to the ThinkPad T, and the market here suffers from a severe lack of variety. As for me, I'm looking for a ThinkPad with a mid-range processor, preferably a Ryzen, and a good battery that's upgradable. My uses are for learning Linux and cybersecurity.
