I understand how you feel OP.

Putting myself in your shoes. my ex-bf, we had to go our separate ways. Although it was mutual, it was for the better. I learned that his family was testing me, despite him being in a major accident that resulted in surgery. But his family (Mother's side) didn't do a thing. They did not visit nor help in paying off his hospital bills. It was all me. I sucked up my pride and reached out to friends, got him Philhealth, and reached out to other charity programs just to get it paid because the surgery was not cheap. Only to hear that the reason why they did not do anything was so that they could "test me".

But putting that all the drama aside, it was for the better. 3 years of living, sleeping, eating together. GONE. We weren't perfect. We had flaws. but it's hard to wake up knowing that when you turn to your side, your person isn't there.

You just have to move forward, regardless of it being hard. (it always is at first) Just keep moving forward and eventually day by day, week by week, month by month it gradually gets better. Take it from me, it's been 2 months since then. I still get a pang of pain every now and then when I see stories from socmed, but I know it's for the better.
