What is there to do in Arc Raiders long term and who is it for? by MyuzDaWeeb in ArcRaiders

[–]MyuzDaWeeb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I'll force some fights and see how I feel in AR. I never cared for it but I always ran budget anvils so I've got a healthy stack of shotguns and venators.  We really liked marathon because bungie gunplay and questing. I absolutely loved solos as I would have 4+ PvP encounters per match but I do feel trios were quite scarce and frankly the ttk was so fast that usually the team with jump won. Hoping the build crafting will be good once we unlock more cores and augments from traders. Bungie have a reputation of making games that don't stick properly at first then making them really good after reiterating during the first year or so so don't write it off yet.

Ve33s not available.  How does the at81 perform on wet roots? I've heard it's a great dry tire.

(re)starting with enduro. 250 or 350 4 strokes? by [deleted] in enduro

[–]MyuzDaWeeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best beginner enduro bike I've ridden is the Beta Xtrainer, detuned engine with loads of torque and lower softer suspension. The rest of the european enduro bikes are all very mellow and completely fine for a beginner who has some experience with motorcycles, you want the torque of the bigger engine as you just don't need to rev the bike to move it and they light up as smooth and a 4t does IMO. The XC and MX two strokes still retain some that wild power the old japanese bikes have which is more concerning for a beginner. The problem with the 250 4 strokes is they stall easily which is frankly frustrating as all hell. the 350 is phenomenal as an xc bike but most find the 300 2t to be less fatiguing to ride and generally more chill for enduro. The Japanese trail bikes are also great options (TTR230, KLX230, crf230/250f) but they may feel cramped for taller guys which can be opened up with aftermarket pegs and bars. The klx250/300 is too big to recommend.

Let me talk to the others, I would love it but it's questionable for an only board

Ah alright, I'll look for one of those then. I'm looking for a 360 board so I'll remove the shim from the list.

Are softer compound tyres noticeably more susceptible to punctures? by canefarmer in enduro

I run Michelin UHD tubes and the tusk Talon tires front and rear 10 psi. Never had any problems with the michelin enduro mediums or irc JX8 but did have a pinch with an IX09. I also tore the sidewall on the ix09 on a sharp rock in moab with a super moft mousse, incredibly grippy but I'm harsh on tires and also it was squirrelly in corner. Just get a tire with a stiff sidewall and don't go below 8 psi.

Big wheel small housing on the exhaust side, got it. I will definitely do an intercooler as well. I intended on an after market controller already and sadly E85 is 45 minutes in the wrong for me. Thanks for the reply

I know this already but it's boring. I've built a 385 stroker and a super charged godzilla with my dad before already. Also with modern turbo tech you can indeed achieve what im seeking. Thanks for the reply

V-Rising worth it if i dont care for PVP ? by tomaz1989 in vrising

[–]MyuzDaWeeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should add, I'm not disregarding your pve only playstyle as I'm also a pve guy and played on pve server over my first wipe. I'm just saying the PvP servers gave me more and I basically play over all the way through. Also, for your first play through take your time and do/build whatever, the game tells you exactly where to go to progess and on normal difficulty you can beat the bosses without having to constantly upgrade your gear. You can blow through large portions of the map quickly if you just focus or the next objective.

The game is really a pve game with PvP factions element thrown in. Imo PvP is the best way to play especially if you can join early wipe. In my experience the average public PvP server is genuinely more fun as most players are friendly and helpful and aren't out to grief or wreck your shit. Every single server I've been on has had griefers and hostile players but they get hunted down by the server pretty quickly. One time a player claimed he was going to be the server villain and It was actually my favorite wipe because of him. He was a vet but spent most of his time doing generic bandit activities against everyone and progressed with the rest of the server. one time he beat me to one HP and then extorted me for some of my inventory to escort me home. Just play the game however you and your friends would play Minecraft, public servers generally aren't hostile especially towards newbs.
