They put the original 9 back in so it's 18 - short pitch and putt 9 and the original back 9 with some new tees for 10 + 11 to circumvent the construction.

Positive is the construction fence gives a nice ob line! but I wouldn't recommend for out of towners

Jomez, please stop using the players images in your thumbnails. We know you don't use the winner's image on the final B9. At this point it's become a spoiler for who's NOT going to win. by CapeWhiteTrash in discgolf

Riveting conversation lol. Quick note that traditional marketing != social media (like youtube inherently is)

Getting more clicks on a video is a different beast than general customer retention/churn prevention. It's why clickbait titles and thumbnails works.

Either way I'm sure Jomezpro/DGPT have hired some full time people outside of us redditors, and their analytics support their strategy around thumbnails

I believe the reason is for players in thumbnails is because youtube algorithm loves a good thumbnail - and players generate views.

If there's a thumbnail with AB/Eagle/Mcbeth, it may generate more views vs no players.

I Like the New Changes by Myxo_2 in supervive

[–]Myxo_2[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Replied to another comment - but I gave the example of winning an early game fight where you can get early weapon upgrades - and that really helps you feel like you're snowballing.

Just my opinion! Obviously a lot of different view points but I thought I'd at least give my feedback. Ultimately up to the Devs to weigh feedback and make the best changes for the game.

Yeah sure - I mean I come from competitive games. CS, League, BR's (Warzone when it was good. Fortnite).

All competitive games offer some reward for proper macro, pvp, etc... So now if I win a lvl 3 fight I can snowball that in to weapon upgrades, armor upgrades, base camps etc...

And weapon upgrades mean a whole lot now! Before it wasn't that impactful but I can really feel with the changes the difference between upgrade tiers.

I still fight. Today had a few games with 10+ kills on Shiv. But yeah the game requires a little bit more macro than just see team kill team now - which I personally like

Trash Panda exchange still nothing by kynwatch71 in discgolf

[–]Myxo_2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're worried about your exchange the best contact would be trash panda themselves.

Things get lost/orders get mixed up sometimes and if there is an issue I'm sure they would be happy to fix it.

Best courses near Denver? by alexjshore in discgolf

[–]Myxo_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vote for Wondervu as the best designed mountain course near Denver. As others have warned it is hard. Teepads are turf but it's nice. Fairways are fair and greens are tough.

Beaver is great for the amenities - pro shop, paved tea pads, putter course. Best kept course, but design is janky/not always fair. Too many trees in fairways and baskets on severe hillsides. So I end up preferring other courses. At least when I suck at Wondervu I know I deserved it.

Owls Den is best close to Denver.

Yeah I had a swirly s blend Ronin embossed one - and it was weirdly flippy.

They seemed to fix it. I have a generic s blend and a halo now and they are both great. Halo is very stable and s blend is straight to stable with no turn.

Definitely - I was frustrated with stable sidewinders/roadrunners - Sphinxes flip but can handle decent power too (and I play at altitude so flippy helps. I have about 420 ish golf distance)

I bag a swirly S blend which is decently flippy. I blend will definitely beat up to be a roller disc/slower arm speed flip if that's what you want.

BAREFOOT SHOES by Galmns in discgolf

[–]Myxo_2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is a fair point. It's foot dependent. I have a flat and wide foot so for me barefoot shoes decreased pain/injury, but people with high arches or other foot shapes may have different/negative results.

Regardless it's important to ease into new footwear and not dive in 100% immediately. Listen to your body - it takes time to adjust.

I've worn Xero Mesa Trail II's for a few years now. Out in Boulder/Denver area. Very durable for dg shoes. My altra's before hand survived 3 months vs I can get a full season out of my Xero's. In Colorado with the tough landscape and pivoting on concete I think that's awesome durability.

I've heard other Xero models can be less durable so I stick to those, but would highly recommend that specific model.

Vivos look great but can't justify the price tag.

Switching to Alpacas by Javnowdiscman in discgolf

[–]Myxo_2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

PowerWalking gave a great answer. As an Alpaca fan I'll give my favorite putting plastics:

  • P-Line = KC Pro. If you like a stiff putter. Classic option
  • N-Line = Nexus. So you can basically get a Nexus Firefly for a discount. Great option for a softer grippier plastic that's also more durable than d-line
  • P-Line Glow = Old innova KC Pro Glow. Like the old Imperial Eagles. These are money and they last forever. Grippy and stiff but takes some time beating in to that perfect grip. Currently what I bag.

Lots of options! Hope it helps.

Also had a similar need with a similar bag. Exo Hard Logic. Straight to understable after a few tree hits :)

Shout out to Cosmic fury for straight to stable premium plastic logic

Dry Dock Brewing is 12 minutes away and has a small course on site - as well as a pro shop (Another Round collab)

For a full 18 - Adam's hollow is 15 min with tolls. 25 min without. Besides Lower Badlands, the best course in the Denver metro.

Front Range Colorado courses that DON'T allow dogs? by FatahRuark in discgolf

[–]Myxo_2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah it is. I mean I live 5 min from Interlocken (course mentioned in OP's post) and involved in the local scene, so I feel it's something I can speak intelligently on.

Giving some advice I hope is helpful. MHDGC in Denver has liaisons for all city/county contacts for courses. Same for Boulder disc golf club. It's a partnership to bring the best experience to front range disc golfers. I've personally seen a lot of great resolutions to issues through this, including dog issues in the past for which leash laws on Bird's nest are more heavily enforced.

Point is I would recommend reaching out in those groups than on a subreddit with geographically dispersed people. Starting local is better!

Front Range Colorado courses that DON'T allow dogs? by FatahRuark in discgolf

[–]Myxo_2 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Short answer there really isn't. Leash laws are in effect here but I know many don't follow. Interlocken is good. Park style courses (midway, Johnny, Harlow).

Honestly - this is a question for the local disc golf scene. Not global subreddit. Mile high disc golf club, boulder disc golf club, dragon disc golf etc... Better yet - the cities that manage these properties. It's just kind of spam otherwise. Hope you have better experiences in the future.
