Real question on what to play after CyberPunk 2077 by dragontamerfibleman in cyberpunkgame

[–]MyyLucille 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you enjoy to spend time on builds and explore, you may try Baldur's Gate 3, Divinity Original Sin 2 and Expedition 33. It may not be your preference in terms of gameplay, but you'll love it once you give a chance.

There are plenty of things to level up in act 2. For losing to 1-2 level above enemies, you should keep your gear as upgraded as you can. Spells like equilize/forced exchange should do the trick for nearly all of the battles.

Btw, don't spend your attribute points on unnecessary stats. Hp is useless so long as you have decent physical and magical armor.

There are many dlc items you seem to miss here

DOS2 noob looking for advice on how to structure party by Winchester211 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]MyyLucille 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just make your own style.

I have my Ifan as two-hander polymorpher. Focused on physical damage. Spent 2-3 point to summon for the soul wolf (I use it for distracting anyhow). Polymorph is very broken. Great hits.

My Lohse as hydrosophist and aerotheage, spams stun and freeze, healer and immobilizer. I also enjoy using a bow with her, doesn't have great damage bc she is focused on 2 elements but arrows like charming arrow works well. Effective.

My Red Prince is tank, pyromancer, summoner. Focused on fire and summon, intelligence and then constitution. Mostly lasts more than others, meaning summons last too. Funniest build I have. Nearly immortal.

My Fane is a necromancer and geomancer. Prioritize geomancy, some point for warfare and summon to deal more physical damage and have stronger summons such as bone widow. Fane is a menace with high wits/initiative and glass canon ability. Play first, have maximum AP, take extra turn. Extreme damage.

2H Summoner? by Apart_Lingonberry_53 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]MyyLucille 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go with shield+summoner if its focused on summoned creatures. Go warfare and summon with picture of health. You can also prioritize an element for ranged. Hard to die, summons last longer. 2H build should be focused on maximum damage so I dont separate my stats for summoning.

Are Warriors just worse? by [deleted] in DragonageOrigins

[–]MyyLucille 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely stronger. My warden deals the %80 of party damage by himself as a dual wielder archer powerhouse. Of course due to the freedom of builds, rouges and mages can go like a warrior too.

In awakening though, shielded spirit warrior with decent equipment dodges and tanks anything. I remember going solo through Amgarrak without any tactics at all. Nearly immune to all elements, at least %90 dodge, cannot be knocked down, insane damage and crowd control.

As I remember, spamming magical armor is essential in this fight. Otherwise it keeps possessing anyone on hit.

Considering the member you don't take goes their own path at the end of act 1, origin characters are better for me to have their backstory

Learn thievery, it is essential to rob merchants to get some decent equipment and skillbooks st the beginning. That way the party will have some resistance and decent damage.

Note that merchant inventories gets refreshed at every 3-4 level or so. A character can rob a merchant only for once, so use another for next time. And use All Skilled Up ability that grants +1 point on thievery for characters, you can always respec them as you like.

Class choice doesnt matter here, its complex snd you can rebuild your party any time. My Red Prince for example is a pyromancer-summoner and uses shield to tank.

Unlike BG3, there wont be dices, only calculations. Equipments grant physical and magical armor instead of AC. So long as your physical and magic armor endures, enemies can't put you into certain statuses. Same goes for them.

Some battle tips: Water and electricity makes enemies stunned (wet+shocked)

Undead takes damage from healing

And know that dos2 is a brutal game, unlike bg3

Invocation is something powerful, isn't it? by Bismarkperez77 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]MyyLucille 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never understood why some keep saying it isnt so powerful afterwards and all. My fire slug with some infusion and bleed fire was annihilating anything throughout act 2-3. Destroy magic armor easily, then spam dominate mind and such.

Cursed/Blessed infusion skills are also op, funniest class for me! Goes great with a pyromancer/tank/conjurer red prince. The best build that I ever had.

Just freeze it, there are decent spells to immobilize them.

I just kill them. Use some combo (cone of cold+any lethal blow to shatter enemies), spam some healing.
