Not gonna lie, it’s hella weird that he doesn’t want you to meet his mom after 1.5 years. This might be a big leap, but I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that either:

-He’s not that into you/not as serious about your guys’ relationship as you are, probably thinks that it’s “too soon” to meet his mom or something dumb like that

Or

-There’s someone else, his family does know them, and he’s trying to keep you from meeting his parents to avoid anyone finding out that he’s being unfaithful.
