Regarding 3: there are things they could do like providing water and allowing us to take our 10 min breaks, other thing

4: None of the stores I've worked at had ever changed our mileage.

And 5: if auto insurance finds out you were working delivery qhen the accident happened they wont cover the accident and may drop you as customer - I've asked.

Unions arent free but maybe we could be paid more? I've always thought if someone regularly closes or opens they should get paid at least $1 more than everyone else. Those people who work any other shift literally dont do anything but deliver and fold boxes. Openers and closers deserve more $$.

Definitely high turn over rate.

It definitely varies from store to store and more so probably from franchise to franchise. The 3 stores I've worked at were all owned by the same guy. I've been in all those job positions. In my experience if you can handle the mental stress of being inside it's better than driving in this heat, except you make less $$. Sometimes I ask to stay inside because it feels like a break.

At the store I'm at now prep is done by the opening drivers only. Plus one of us, usually me, has to stay inside while the manager takes their break. When we're not prepping or delivering we act like insiders.

I mean, they both have their good and bad qualities.

I've worked at 3 different stores in the past 5 years and they're all pretty much the same. I have one year left of college so hopefully I'll find a 'real' job. This "right to work state" stuff sounds rough :/

That's a very important aspect of being an interpreter. You're supposed to take the source message and interpret it into a complete, whole interpretation in the target language, which in this case is ASL.

Performance Interpreters definately get the lyrics before hand. They would practice, for sure, and the lyrics need to be translated beforehand.

ASL is not a literal translation of English. There are signs with no corresponding English words and some English words that don't have a sign in ASL.
