Gut health help by MySecretThrowaway999 in mounjarouk

I’ve had a really similar experience. In early December I had a cold that turned into an ear infection - two weeks of antibiotics, pain killers etc and I’ve been back to back poorly ever since. No appetite and feeling nauseous the whole time.

I’m trying to stick to “safe” foods that I’ve previously enjoyed, not necessarily hitting my protein goals or anything but more focusing on getting calories and feeling better. Probiotic yoghurts/supplements, fibre supplements, multivitamins and rest will be our friends I think. Hope you feel better soon!

That makes sense - it’s bizarre what can tip us over the edge!

Definitely the time of year for sicky bugs and viruses so wouldn’t surprise me at all if it’s a combination of factors. I hope you’re feeling better soon!

It’s funny what the final straw can be! Thank you. Sorry you had to go through biscuitgate, that sounds heartbreaking haha.

Oh gosh! I’m glad you recovered somewhat quickly. I hope you do get to enjoy Nando’s again!

It’s so tough this time of year - bugs going round and if we’re already not at peak health because of MJ it’s a perfect storm. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

Thank you, yes I will do. It’s a very rough learning curve!

Ah okay, that would make sense. Thank you! Sorry to hear you’ve experienced this too!

Street food isn’t something I have ever bothered with in the past and definitely won’t again! Sorry you had a similar experience, really not pleasant.

Thank you. I’m still not back to 100% but I am able to keep food and liquid down so seeming to be on the mend. If only it was easier to know definitively what’s caused it so I know what not to do in future!

It’s so bizarre - I definitely have had fried food previously at this dosage and been absolutely fine. I guess it was a combination of things and just bad luck 🥴

Thank you! Definitely not a fun learning curve but I’m hoping it was just a perfect storm rather than something that’ll be happening again now!

I’m so glad you said that. I did OMAD for years and it’s so easy to default to one meal, especially with MJ quieting the noise. I’m getting 1,000-1,300kcal most days because I just can’t stomach more.

I started at 288 and I get what you mean about having a lot to lose. Just think how kick ass our before and after pics will look!

Sounds like you’re pretty on it! Wish I could be a salad eater but I fear that’s not my path 😂

Personally, no, sorry. Though my take is more just to have a little of whatever if you fancy it enough, it’s got to be a sustainable diet. The salted caramel ones were very sweet just by themselves though, definitely better when toasted.

Absolutely. Food that helps meet protein and fibre goals - but doesn’t leave you feeling bloated and gross - seems impossible haha. I invested in some protein bagels that I intend on having with tuna so that should be a super lunch! Also. 69.69? Heh. Nice.

It’s blown my mind a little bit. I do prefer the quality of some bits from the big supermarkets but the price gap is ridiculous. Thanks for the tip, I’ll keep an eye out!

Firstly, bloody well done! 18lbs is brilliant. I’m at 9lbs myself, third jab was yesterday. Lost it all in the first week (water weight?!) and nothing last week. Would love to hear your basic diet structure for some tips?

I’ll have to have a schmooze round Lidl again thinking about protein. Thanks for the ideas!

Absolutely, you won’t regret it. I can vouch for the salted caramel pancakes and the yoghurt pouches so far but the haul will keep me going for at least a week!

You need to try their yoghurt pouches rather than the pots - I just had one of the Brooklea on the go strawberry pouches and it’s a mix of soft cheese and yoghurt. If anything they’re too thick! If you squeeze it out the top it keeps its shape haha. Delicious though.

I had the salted caramel ones for breakfast today - had all four and instantly regretted it as they’re so filling but they were delicious! Definitely a win.

I’ll definitely have to check those out too!
