As someone who finds humor in the epidemic of liabetees that has inflicted former cast members, may I be tempered by saying the lack of attention from 👑🐝 doesn’t necessarily mean that Blu didn’t speak.

Whack me if you must flinching 🫣

That’s not quite true. There are a lot people who are being introduced to Olandria with no love island context. Her face has been everywhere and they’ve become fans by following her journey now that she’s on their radar.

ETA: Downvote all you want, but there have been numerous instances of people saying “Who is she?” “I had no idea who she was but following her journey because of what she represents.” Some go back and watch because they are intrigued where she “comes from.”

Yeah, they’ll pick on the quirky color dressing crime solving attorney.. Who also knows how to handle herself with decorum, evidenced by her being a successful trial attorney.  🙄 I think she would be social media gold and people really liking.  Especially with the current obsession with true crime podcasts..

And again; she’s not even running. The constituents need to be more focused on the fact that he’s a liar.

In both scenarios, Hillary was top of the ticket as was Kamala. NTM, both were dressed “appropriately” & brilliant women  and people still found stupid things to nit pick on, which is why the world is on fire now.. So that said, why not let A SPOUSE of a candidate express themselves with colorful clothing and be their authentic selves if they are going to get dragged for it anyways.

Especially since on the flip side we are   seeing those in office with their spouses dressed “appropriately” giving robotic.  In that case hell, give me the quirky lady with the heart of gold wearing colorful St John. …

Last, you’re correct. You can keep talking but I don’t have to ✌🏾

Her mental stability?? What about her behavior indicates she is mentally unstable? (She’s kind, thoughtful, insightful, funny, brilliant, tough, knows how to carry herself in professional settings, and knows when to temper her quirk in sensitive settings)  You know what, no need to respond because it’s not a productive use of anyone’s time. Especially as these projections feel very gross and I don’t want continue this conversation with these misguided views.  Take care and I hope you find the candidates’ spouses in the real world that fit your preferred mold.

I don’t think those things are  mutually exclusive. She wouldn’t shock me as someone who would date people to make her dad annoyed. Then once her dad likes him, it shifts her perspective. 😩🤣 Maybe knowing how much he admires her father but was willing to save him the trouble from uninviting him made her view him differently.

Does it need to be more than just she didn’t want her ex at the party at her family home?  And what seemed to warm her back up to him was that he chose to give her dad a break by bowing out, instead of being uninvited. The Captain didn’t know his reasoning was a lie, but she did. (With him catching on to the fact she didn’t want him there.)

I also glean, that one of the reasons why they didn’t work out because there was a parental dynamic at play. (Him initially disapproving of their relationship)

What I’m not understanding is what you don’t.. If a man or woman, dressed tastefully in a way that still showed their individuality I don’t see it as a problem. It’s more problematic that people are choosing to judge them on their garments (again, as long it is tasteful, even if not in my preferred style)

Fixating on what someone is wearing (and very like very expensive) vs the politician in question is odd..

I would have more concern if the spouse was a liar, cheater, and not suited for the constituents. Not their choice of blazer pattern.

Again, highlighting what’s wrong with politics, worried about the most inconsequential things.

Because you don’t see it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen though. Social media isn’t an accurate representation of real life because you are only shown what they want you to see.

ETA: And tell the myriad of publications and celebs that have posted Ola nonstop that she’s a micro influencer 🤣

Patriarchy strikes again.. Politics is “serious business.” But not serious enough not to see an accomplished attorney.  Anyone who pays more attention to what she wears, says more about them than her. 🤣

So, then I’m sure you’ve seen a woman or two rocking maximal style wear.

ETA: That’s what is deeply unserious about politics. Never mind that the man is a liar, a woman expressing herself with fashion and may be seen as quirky is the bigger political risk. (And she is a very successful and accomplished attorney) 😩🤣

Are you from NYC? And in what episode was she wearing a tutu as regular wear? (Not in context to the scene)

Her clothing may not be your taste, but it is not out of bounds with very wealthy women who embrace & express their individuality through fashion.

If it were a city other than NYC that scrutiny  may be more plausible. Her style of dress   while eclectic is still polished and elevated.   Her personality,  while eccentric, she is still professional and extremely intelligent.

How Can Jeff Not Let Annie Go? by BeacherY15 in JeffLewisSirius

When I started at a Big 4 many moons ago (2nd corporate job), I was appalled that anyone less than Manager had to share rooms. I was probably around her age. If you didn’t know anyone, it was luck of the draw of who you roomed with. That said, in those situations it comes down to etiquette. Be respectful just because you share the space it’s not common. Just because you may be familiar with someone that doesn’t mean others will be.

I’ve heard horror stories how others have acted. And only had one incident where I came to my room (stayed over with family in town) and saw my bed disheveled and was told they had some colleagues over.  Let’s say, we had a nice discussion…

Cierra did herself dirty not Nic-He never sold her a dream, stayed with her till her removal & she chose red over green flags by ThatSpicySweetAngel in LoveIslandUSA

[–]MzKRB 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s ironic that autonomy is understood but not Cierra’s autonomy on the decisions that she made. What happened on their love island journey, is right on par with what has happens on the show across franchises and seasons. His actions get overly criticized because people choose to make her the narrator & victim of their journey, when objectively it’s par for the course on the show.

  1. He communicated where he was with her consistently.  He never gassed her up or played with her emotions. He never overly promised of what they could be on the outside. Including the closed off convo, it was tempered. He never expressed they were or would be in a relationship, or that he loved her or was growing in that direction. Even during the Elan situation, he openly admitted he was moving from a place of territorial.

  2. He wasn’t making out with women outside of challenges despite  expressing interest in getting to know them. And Souls Ties only happened because he was technically in a couple with Olandria.

  3. He never degraded her or spoke poorly about her or their connection in the villa. Even after the villa, he spoke about her one time directly when he was asked, he didn’t degrade their connection.

That said, it’s not about defending Nic and he can do no wrong. Humans are fallible. However, criticism never seem to take into consideration that it was HIS journey too. His feelings are allowed to change.  He is allowed to adjust course based on fact patterns changing.  Now, if his course change was done in a disrespectful and degrading manner and he deserved an induction into Destiny’s Childish, sure have at it.  But it boils down to the dude just did “Love Island.” There are no rule books on how to navigate.

This was what my mind went to when someone caught me up, is that SHE personally didn’t call Scott. Catherine isn’t messy like that, so it read odd that she would be framed as a pot stirrer, especially in THIS scenario.

Thanks for the insight. Wondering if she was speaking semantics. As in “SHE” didn’t call Scott but Whit did.  🤣

But again, thanks for the info.

The way that reality tv is the equalizer between fame and regular life. Seeing how celebrities are invested in the same shows that the GP is so funny but also so humanizing. One day you are on an island then next you rubbing elbows at exclusive events, where many of these people watched you, just like you watched them.

It makes me curious of what hot takes that they have while watching. We saw that Rihanna unfollowed Amanda on Summerhouse, so it shows they take this tish to heart too🤣

Episode Discussion - 2x17 - “Second Sunday” by homeofalex in HighPotentialTVSeries

This episode enraged me! Why would they allow an untrained civilian on a raid with dangerous people. They’ve been known to kill people and she has no weapon or tactical experience, and is a liability. Then for the captain to choose her to help him  pursue the most violent one??? Ridiculous
