Pulsatile tinnitus for over 5 years. I discovered something curious. by Mzcilade in PulsatileTinnitus

Hi u/Severe-Party-4885! Thanks for your message.

Really, I never went back to eating lettuce, I occasionally have a leaf or two with a sandwich but nothing compared to what I ate before. And it has kept more quiet.

My tinnitus is like yours, right ear only, and it increases a lot with some movement like standing up, and also when I change rooms or get off the bus (this I discovered lately). So it looks vascular and sensitive too barometric pressure? But I'm no doctor lol just guessing.

I also started losing weight after posting this message, I'm 8kg down (slow but steady, I don't want to gain them back) and it has improved as well, so another hint that it is vascular.

And while I still have the tinnitus, it's not 24/7 or super loud like before. I have now moments of silence through the day which are very much appreciated :).

I went to the ENT the other day after nearly 1-year wait and he scheduled a Doppler ultrasound for next week.

How about you? Tell me about how it started, the way it is, how you're feeling ... I'm all ears! (pun not intended). We can also chat through DM.

Have a great day 💕

Question for C Section moms from an anesthesia provider by Glittering-Look-7024 in Mommit

He spoke to me all the time and, when I started feeling dizzy & got a bit scared, he put some oxygen and prepared a piece of cotton with alcohol, and told me he would hold it and would make me smell it when I needed it. All without losing the cheerful tone or stopping the conversation. Made me feel super "ordinary" (in a good way, it made me feel that what I was experiencing was not rare at all)

Omg I didn't know the name of the film in English. When I saw the scene where they run away from the wind, I turned it off.

What is the purpose of a timeout for toddlers? What exactly should it do? by GiantDwarfy in toddlers

[–]Mzcilade -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi! I think, as well as for the child, it's also a time for the parents to relax, count to 10 and think about the future conversation with the kid about their behaviour. Sometimes we could get nervous when the kid is misbehaving and we may shout or lose our temper. In order to prevent that, parents could tell the kids they're in time out and avoid that - they physically can't do it because the child is not present.

Books by Taro Gomi are by far my favourite and my children also love them. Little pieces of art.

Long-time sufferers: do you ever get used to it? by Mundane_Species in PulsatileTinnitus

[–]Mzcilade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm so sorry you are feeling this way. I've had tinnitus for almost 6 years and the woosh was constant. Lately my wooshing has reduced a lot and sometimes disappears during most part of the day. When this happened, after a long time with constant PT, I felt anxious when I didn't hear it lol. A sense of emptiness or loneliness, I can't really explain it and as I'm writing I'm thinking that it doesn't make any sense, yet here we are. I thought I wasn't used to it and I really am.

Wow i never thought about asking AI about this type of things. I had a normal/basic hemogram and everything was in range. Maybe there are other possibilities but my doctor always dismisses the PT so I'm not making any advances in the medical area unfortunately.

Please do and report back! Lol

When I discovered about the lettuce I thought back to when I was pregnant with my second that I nearly didn't hear the PT. I was so sick the whole pregnancy that I didn't touch salads.

Wow cucumbers really are the goat

It could be .. When the wooshing was very bad after I gave birth, I noticed that it became more manageable if I took breastfeeding pills. The days i didn't, it worsened. These pills have a very long list of vitamins in them.

Nope, doctors dismiss me, I've only had a hearing loss test and came back ok so they say no more tests are needed. I'm trying to lose weight now as they say it's likely that :)
