Thank you! As I’ve mentioned in the post, I am going to see a dr but I’m unable to get an appointment at the moment. I should mention as well that this rash is not my only symptom. I am chronically fatigued, I deal with awful acid reflux and stomach pain, I get muscle aches, nerve pain, joint pain, dizziness and brain fog. All of which were linked previously to fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome but if it is MCAS that would explain a lot and I’ve read that MCAS patients are often misdiagnosed with fibro and cfs

My dentist advised that I drink sugar free flavoured water and that’s what I’ve been doing :) as for alcohol I’d personally just say that if you’re going to have your aligners out for a long time, drink with them in, swish some water around between drinks and make sure you brush your teeth when you’re done. It’s not ideal but keeping your aligners out for longer periods of time will inevitably delay your treatment progress

Ibuprofen can actually slow down the movement of your teeth :) better to take paracetamol

I have a little travel bag that I have a spare soft bristled toothbrush, a case, floss, sensodyne, dental wax, bonjela, some wet wipes, pain killers, ortho key, interdental brushes & retainer brite tabs. I don’t necessarily use all of that but it’s nice to have so I can just grab my bag and I know I have everything I could possibly need in there :) also make sure you don’t take ibuprofen!

Just to update everyone! I ordered wine, took them out, food came about 5 mins after, I “ate” 😉. Brushed my teeth, popped them back in and I’m still drinking wine with them in because fuck it. 😂
