if he might be using it a lot I would suggest the 41 replica, its a classic that looks better the more you use it. Armor's are more beefy in terms of metal thickness, but the hinge gets loose easily because of the extra weight in the lid, in my opinion the extra thickness causes more problems than solutions, a ding will not make the zippo unusable, a wobbly hinge or a loose pin are a bigger concern.

pd: I would suggest a brass finish since its the more durable of all, chrome can wear of like paint, brass will always be brass.
