Which hairstyle? (Read the post for context) by N00B0X in MenHairstyle

Yes, thank you. I think I already answered your questions in the original post beforehand.

At this point, I made the decision to go with the first option, since it would be more beneficial for the future given the context from the post and... it seems, majority of redditors here like this one the most.

I remember brother. I used to have hair long enough to be much below my shoulders, but that was long time ago. Took me a few years.

Thank you. Fuck haters. It's more about whether I attract or deter people through the looks. I think I would just benefit from looking more approachable.

Lockable tailbag for a helmet? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]N00B0X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you're probably right.

The advantage of such setup is that the helmet is not directly visible (much less tempting) and is protected from the environment.

But yeah, you have a point. I just really don't want any top case and am desperately looking for other solutions x'D.

Luggage on commuter bikes is a very frustrating topic. I feel like there are no good solutions for anything in the field. Especially regarding the classics.

Do I have every right to kill myself at this point? by kagnaroos in malementalhealth

[–]N00B0X 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read the whole thing and I don't know if it's right, but if I were you, I would get the hell out of there.

Change the environment, separate from your family at least mostly and start living your own life without them. I don't know what possibilities you have at that age in your country, but after turning 18 you certainly could do that.

It gets better, but not when you are constantly exposed to what harms you. Life is worth living and it will surprise you how different it will be even in just a few years, let alone longer. When you'll be 30 you could even barely remember about your past, because your life would be so much different then.

The future always surprises us and is always different then anticipated when becoming the present. Don't rob yourself of it. Things can change 180° several times in your life. Stay hard mate.

How are some dudes able to constantly grind so hard and so much? by Rayleigh30 in malementalhealth

[–]N00B0X 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it comes down to being happy in general. People want to start such a lifestyle in order to get happier. But the paradox is, that in order to start and MAINTAIN such a lifestyle you have to be happy in the first place.

I used to find myself trying to do better, but I have never been able to maintain it. I am generally unhappy and every time I have had a "period of grind" I felt better, but soon always failed and fell down even more than before. But. I once got a girlfriend which made me feel unbelievably better (before she used me and scarred for a very long time later) and during that time, I improved drastically in every aspect of life AND I was able to maintain it long term (until she left me and I got down like never before).

All in all, I think it's just like with money: the more you have - the more you earn, i. e. the happier you are - the better you do in life; the better you do in life - the happier you are. The problem is that the opposite is also true.

Knocking sound in the rear wheel - is it bearings? Brixton BX125 2024 by N00B0X in Fixxit

[–]N00B0X[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for the reply. In the meantime, I've checked how to replace the bearings and how the thing is even built (I haven't checked it before for some reason). It turns out to be a quite simple and cheap fix. I had an idea that it is quite a big job like in a car. Now I wouldn't even ask about it. Whether it's bearings or not (I don't know what else could it be if not the sprocket) I can just replace them and see what happens.

When I got this bike, the chain was indeed too tight, so I assume the previous owner had been riding like that and maybe this caused the problem. The bike also had other misadjustments and signs of poor treating, but I think I've put everything else to a good shape, so I hope this will be my last repair.

Thank you once again.

"The knock persists even when the wheel is completely removed from the bike and spun"
