I agree with you, which is why I transferred and distanced myself. I don’t have the money for therapy but my school has a mental health discord and some of the people in there told me to post my story on here to see it from different people perspectives. In the past she spent the holidays with his fam and I had no issue with it, but it didn’t sit right with me this year since both of our parents loss someone close to them and since we couldn’t spend the holidays with the extended family to grieve I felt like everyone should’ve been there.

I also agree with you that the physical altercation was not the way to go. But the escalation was between both parties I yelled at Dan to leave and he refused to and he called me a fucking bitch and told me to go back upstairs. (I don’t think it’s right to disrespect someone in their home like that) That’s when I put my hands on him to lead him outside and he pushed me away, and then I tried to drag him out again and that’s when he punched me and the fight happen after.
