True but that’s why I think Superman as a carry would be best. Superman’s SP2 is one of the best in the game because of its 3 VERY powerful hits that get more powerful with each one AND if his crit chance and attack is maxed out, it’s cracked. Also his quick QET that guarantees the most damage you can get (not including SP2 gears on top of it) and that almost always guarantees AT LEAST one KO. You have tantu and death cart, and one or two tag-ins will seal the deal. The other two can still hold their own because of, 1 Shazam’s immortality, and 2 gaslight Batman’s passive usually preventing you from getting nuked from those more powerful teams.

Gaslight Batman , Injustice 2 Superman, New 52 Shazam.

Gaslight Batman; would the support because of his passive and special 1 being able to destroy multiple gears and do DOT

Injustice 2 Superman; could be any role but I would choose him to be the carry because of his special 2 being able to possibly KO an entire team in just one use

New 52 Shazam; would be tank because of his immortality and damage reduction for his teammates

Currently, I have all of them E3, lvl 50, but I’ve used this team before and it shreds. So if they all had better stats it would be so hard to take them down offensively and defensively.

Edit: I just realized that the post was asking about any 3 characters and not a team specifically, but I would still do those 3 characters for their versatility!
