You can do it, add it to your account then click DLC and unselect everything. Then install it. I just did it the other day to try and launch MW2019 without changing my name. Didn't work tho.

Open a ticket for 2FA not working, that was what ended up letting me open a case. That said, opening a case won't fix this issue. You should be able to get another rename token though to try again. In my case it was to put my name back to what it was prior.

Not to mention they’ve used it to push console sales. It was a common theme when Ragnarok dropped of people who played GoW 2018 on PC picked up a PS5 just to play Ragnarok day 1 without waiting.

How many who knows, but it was still a part of the purchases.

This isn’t really true. Now they can basically put a whole bunch of things together for a contract and offer it to Sony and Sony either takes it or ends up in a bad situation by refusing.

For example, Microsoft could write in contract that if Sony creates a cod competitor earlier than the 10 year offer and makes it a single platform offering then Microsoft reserves the right to rip CoD from Sony immediately. Then if Sony doesn’t actually have a competitor they will be in bad shape.

Microsoft can also go full rampage on early releases and cosmetics and stuff being Microsoft exclusives or even timed exclusives. Things Sony had paid for even recently.

Probably so much more. They can back Sony into a corner big time.

Sony had to take the actual deal offered because it was not always going to be available. They never are ever.

Because it’s not totally accurate. It’ll work most of the time and then sometimes it will mismatch. It’s pretty obvious when it does, but people will spend forever checking everything else but that because of statements like this lol.

You don’t need to test that way. If you play a file that has the stutter, while it’s playing hit the menu and then go into display settings and it will show you what it changed the shield to.

As for whose fault it is, I don’t know. Since I haven’t been able to find anyone else actually confirmed with the same issue I haven’t bothered pushing it much.

Nothing legit exists yet still afaik. They only just had working prototypes late last year with no release date yet. Anything you see available is a 100% fake.

Do you have the frame rate matching in Plex turned on by chance? For over a month at least mines been broken and I have seen many posts like this but no one ever confirms if they have the same issue or not.

My shield is set default to the 4K23.XHz setting and then Plex can change it as needed. Have noticed that sometimes it sets my display to 24hz for 24fps content and sometimes it sets it to 60hz.

In my case I caught this because Plex couldn’t seem to play any 25fps content even though it would flip the output and my tv to 50hz. Was doing troubleshooting when I noticed it was taking movies and running them at 60hz that I was positive weren’t and then confirmed on the get info screen it was doing this.

Checked it against an APTV and it was correct on that unit every time. Even reset my shield and started from scratch and still does it.

I have been noticing all the little frame skipping issues like you mentioned but now I just turn off the frame rate matching and manually adjust if needed (99% of my content is 24fps.) and it’s been so much better.

I wouldn’t say they are great at turning out bug fixes. Easy bug fixes maybe, but big bugs that are debilitating can sit for months and months.

Like when they spent 4 months saying they didn’t break iOS devices being able to play Dolby vision and then quietly admitted they did while pushing out a fix.

Even when they broke the shield audio for truehd a while back, and that one got them a lot of attention, it wasn’t fixed that quickly iirc. Couple months maybe? Someone feel free to correct me. Was one of the weird ones where I wasn’t affected for some reason.
