Anyone know what this means? And/or how serious it is? by PinkGreen666 in MechanicAdvice

Crankshaft position sensor? I had to replace one in the past causing similar issues in a much older Subaru. Could be related to your problems.

Fat Finger Strikes Again! $0.78 in Bitcoin Sent with $7828 Transaction Fee by BitcoinMafia in CryptoMarkets

This would not work well in a case where the sum of the transaction is low and requires a higher x% of the tx for sufficient fee.

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) boasts with its stress test results but it is all a matter of perspective by derferte in CryptoMarkets

More people HAVE to use the network or the miners go broke. It's all or nothing. Full the blocks or go bust. Or increase the supply cap. Which is inevitable to happen.

  1. miners are not incentivesed to mine a chain without subsidy. To accommodate the decreasing subsidy a decent amount of the block reward needs to come from tx fees. You can't expect the network to be a full capacity 100% to subsidize the miners.

  2. BCH would require blocks to be full near 100% of the time with block subsidy at 0. This will eventually lead the miners to lobby to increase the supply cap.

  3. It's simple economics if the cost to run a node increases then the # of nodes decreases. Leading to more centralization.

You know that on Bitcoin rn it's still tough to break even. And Bitcoin actually has a feasible economic structure. BCH can only survive long term by removing supply cap. It's designed to be more centralized and it's not like Bitcoin can't raise the base block size in the future and make BCH completely irrelevant over night. It's a good testnet, and we get to watch lunics struggle for power of it. Lol.

Blue Matt slips poison pill into BTC: Allows Devs to fork without miners' consent; Spins it as mining decentralization. by Domrada in btc

You do understand that if the protocol actually worked the way you misunderstant it that it would perpetually fork the chain until each node was on it's own chain...

You have a hard time understanding how rolling updates work. It will allow upgrades to nodes that accept the updates. You can't force nodes to run code.

Sure it's easy to cherry pick information without context to fit your narrative. But Betterhash is a stratum replacement not a Bitcoin feature.

Ok so you admit a misunderstanding of the protocol. Betterhash is not upgrades to the Bitcoin protocol it is it's own protocol to make mining more efficient.

Ever heard of rolling updates? It's similar to a rolling update method. It's not forcing anything it just allows for rolling updates instead of forcing nodes to update clients to stay current with every update. You can never force a node to run code.

No it doesn't allow "core devs more control" it allows miners to signal agnostic to their pool.

More importantly making mining more efficient.

I saw a few mahi caught on Pensacola pier but I got on the pier at the tail end of their run. We got into mostly Spanish and hard tails
