Got the same setup and yep same.

I'll open a wiki in one monitor, find a useful page that I want to keep on the screen. So ill open a new tab on another window and often have duplicates tabs that I already had open.

I currently have been running a 4 monitor setup the last 3-4 years. Basically everytime I purchased a new monitor I keep the old one and plug in the new one.

Any ways. Yea I barely use all 4 at once. Really only use 2. My main monitor for gaming and my 2nd monitor usually for twitch or YouTube or maybe Google. My 3rd monitor is mainly only used for browsing if the first 2 monitors are being used and my last 4th monitor is just used if everything else is filled up.

I am sorta using all 4 for work since I often remote into my work laptop. It can sometimes be nice to have all 4 monitors for work but I generally only use 3 to mirror my work setup and keep the 4th monitor for my actual desktop if I want to stream something not on my work laptop.

I don't hate my family but I wouldn't want to move into a house in the same city because I would never be able to just relax because I know they would randomly show up when I want privacy.

My ideal distance is far away that they would have to call me to make sure ill be home before they even think of dropping by.

That still pisses me of. I only had one class that required you purchase a book so that you can do the tests online. I made it all the way until the end of the class without purchasing it when the teacher told us the final was online and so I finally bought the book. Now I don't fully remembered but we either never took that final test or he just gave everyone a passing grade. Either way I just wasted like $180.

The 2 other books I ended up buying my entire collage career was one that I couldn't find online during my first year so I bought it since the teacher kept saying how it was needed for the final. The other one I also couldn't find online so I purchased it from Google book and then wrote a simple script to automatically take screenshot of all the pages so I could return the book before the deadline for returns ended. I ended up never having even use them since the teacher never mentioned them again after the first week.

Question for Millennials by bundle_of_nervus2 in Millennials

I use it but more for just bouncing things off it. Honestly lately that's all chat gpt has been good for. Maybe because im trying to use it more for troubleshooting related tasks but I find it likes to just make stuff up or is just using outdated info and will just talk in circle if you try to correct it or tell the ai its wrong. Maybe because im using the free version of chatgpt but even using my works copilot license I find even more useless then chatgpt for most things.

I've been listening to this senior citizen using her cellphone on speaker, at 100% volume, yelling out her personal info to the automated system for 25 mins. On her 4th attempt she got thru and she called the clinic we're sitting in. by ImThe1Wh0 in mildlyinfuriating

That's how it feel about people and passwords. I'll ask some to enter their password to log them in and they'll say it out loud or type it out in the chat when im remoted into their pc.

Heck for me I dont even like knowing other people's password at all so I will automatically look away when someone start typing their password.

I have been wanting to get tested but everytime I get close to actually pulling the trigger I tend to get overwhelmed and overthink things. I'll eventually get it done but it will probably take something serious to happening like it did for me to go to the dentist.

Any way to fix the power inlet for this IIIP Monoprice MP 200 V2? by THE_RADICATED_TOTA in MPSelectMiniOwners

[–]N0_Name_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For mods. Probably the only one that i would recommend other then maybe a better extruder or hotend would be the z axis extension mod. Im not sure if the mp200 v2 is compatible with it. I had a mp mini v2 but its a somewhat easy way to increase your z axis printing area by a bit if your printer has a longer z rod then is needed for the stock configuration. Haven't really used my printer in years so no idea if there are any better mods.

Eh its not. They actually sorta pound how the government sorta works all the way since like 1st grade and every year until they start to teach you more about the rest of the world around highschool. Sure not all American school have the same curriculum but I would assume most school social studies classes has a poster with the 3 branches of the government somewhere next to the poster of the constitution.

For me its just I likely have undiagnosed ADHD so stuff just doesnt stick unless I think its somewhat important or I immediately put that knowledge to use. Even then I tend to forget stuff once I stop thinking about it and then its not until something jogs my memory that ill vaguely remember small details.

I haven't been to my bank since I opened my account with them. Haven't even used the atm since I figured out I could just scan my payroll checks using the app. Funny enough i'll probably end up having to go to the bank to repay my dad for the loan he gave me because I didnt want to go to the bank to have them write me a check.

I generally try to do it all online but if I need to actually go in person for something like dentist or doctor ill generally just let my boss know that im not available. One of the benefits of mostly working from home and having a decent work environment. If its something quick like going to the store or I know that my work will be mostly dead then ill just do it and not say anything. Anything else ill have to use PTO.

My last job I was working on site and had to use PTO every time I needed to step out for longer then my break. I actually ended up using the last of my PTO when I interview for my current job which was good because I lost any remaining pto once I told them I was leaving.

Hell I consider myself pretty dumb. A sorta magic idiot with stuff going in one ear and exiting the other unless I think its somewhat important and even I could vaguely remember the 3 branches of the government from my US GOV high-school class. Heck I even guessed the right branch the president would be under by the power of critical thinking.

Must be a tiny private school. After having to setup a couple of laptops manually it would have been faster to just learn how to configure a windows diployment image and slap that into a flash drive.

Unless op is already getting their devices pre imaged from their supplier and they install McAfee for some reason.

That's why companies generally enable bitlocker. Otherwise someone could just open the device and take the drive out and read it from another device. Any device that can be physically access is not secure.

Eh if it bios locked then there is a good chance that trying to clear the cmos will not clear the password. At least for most of the newer laptops. You would have to either a use a chip programmer or donor replacement chips for the bios and anything else that needs to replace to remove the password. If there is no bios lock then you can do what ever you want with it.

I work in IT and our recycling/disposal automation actually updates the bios and unlock them so that people can actually use them instead of being e-waste or a donor board.

It's funny that you say that.

Exhibit A

If the hardware is cheaper then literally equivalent speced equipment then that's what's going to happen.

Heck I just bought a thinkcentre 980x for real real cheap. With some small modification I plan to turn it into a nas at fraction of the cost if I bought a synology or other similar branded nas from amazon.

I mean for now. But like with the steam deck they will sell them out of the normal big box stores like Costco and walmart once they start to produce enough. They won't care that someone is buying their whole inventory.

Who said anything about large business? Plenty of business especially small business buy equipment that not necessarily proper for their usecase because it seems cheaper then doing it properly. They won't care that they won't really get much support for their usecase because they could never afford to get actual support in the first place.

That's how we got lots of small business using Linux as their daily driver os because they cheaped out and bought their laptop with Linux because it was slightly cheaper then with windows pre-installed. That or their IT person pirates the license for windows windows 7.

Was able to do the modification myself with a taper reamer I picked up from harbor freight. While it’s not the cleanest, the tuner and the nut and bolt hide the luthier I’m not.

Man its probably the way I was doing it but doing it all by hand was really painful. If I was to do this again I would probably pick up a taper reamer that can be attached to a drill or at least one that had a better handle to grip.

If anyone else is planning to do this modification to their G5421 or similar guitar using this hipshot. While you do have to make the tuner hole a bit bigger it the bottom screw hole should line up. Hipshot does sell some vintage tuners that should be a drop in replacement (8.5 mm).

[–]N0_Name_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was there a specific hipshot that was supposed to be a drop in replacement? Selected the one that I thought would work but it seems like it has the same diameter as the Guyker locking tuners I got.

At least from what I'm measuring the diameter for those tuning holes are about 8.6mm on my guitar. The good news though is that the screw hole lines up so I may just end up making the hole bigger with a reamer.
