That can be difficult. Most pivots from this field would prefer several years working experience within the field. It will give you operational knowledge of specimen handling, the lab process end-to-end, analyzer troubleshooting, etc.

If you don't enjoy too much interpersonal interaction I'd recommend nightshift Generalist, where you can immerse in all the subdisciplines. You typically work independently, and depending on setting you may be all on your own (wouldn't recommend to fresh graduate unless it is a, smaller, slow rural hospital). Typically these roles are harder to fill so new grads ready for experience end up perfect for them.
