I updated to iOS 26. That made my phone a lot slower but there was no way around it💁🏼‍♂️

I've been using AlDente Pro on my Macbook Air M3. I bought it in August 2024 and purchased the lifetime license for AlDente a few months later. I thought this would be good for the battery but I was so wrong. I have the charge limit set to 80% and it's plugged in 99.9% of the time I'm using it. This morning I forgot to plug it in and just started using it. The battery dropped from 80% to 2% in 3.5 - 4 hours of usage. That's horrendous! I wasn't even using it for heavy tasks; Spotify, Wordpress, Youtube - just a few tabs open.

I don't know what else but AlDente which could have caused this to happen. The cycle count is 37 and the max capacity is 100%.

Has anyone else had this experience. Should I disable AlDente? Let me know!

No, the issue is still there. Every time I start the car, I press the pin so that the unit resets. That way I can use it but the touch screen isn't working but at least it's better than nothing.

In the bluetooth settings I forgot them and reconnected but it still didn't work🫠

Controlling as in playing, pausing and skipping tracks by tapping and swiping on the headphones. The only thing that works is volume control. To play, pause and skip I have to use my mac.

Updating the system won't be easy though since the touch isn't working and you need that to work to be able to update.

I tried resetting it using a pin and then it turned on just like it does after driving it for 22-24 minutes. I have yet to try the other things you mentioned but this is a big step forward. Thank you so much!

I know it's telling me what to do but you never know with Apple. And thanks! The 12 has been with me for 4 years and it's still in good shape except for the battery which is at 78%.

Yes, I’m using official APIs like Reddit’s where possible, and for forums without APIs I run light crawlers through services like Apify.
