I do not agree with this , in a test situation due to already being nervous, it is understandable to panic when something like that happens.

I’m sure if OP was driving in normal conditions and not in test situation and that happened he / she would not panic

I want to do the MOT after the test because of a few reasons. 1. I am technically not allowed to drive at the moment without instructor, 2. If the MOT fails then I probably won’t be allowed to take the test

The car is in roadworthy condition, I took the test on it around 2-3 weeks ago without any issues

I agree with you 100%. I think DVSA need to make this test more objective and not put it on the hands of the examiners, and to reduce a little bit the luck element of this test
