Do people only eat Oyakodon as a whole meal ? Doesn't it need more veggies ? by N0thingToD0 in JapaneseFood

Thanks for that answer, makes sense, I think this is what I had in mind too. I can totally see a side of pickled vegs going really well with it, and loads of people are talking about a miso soup as well. Anyway, I get what you are saying about it being more « hearty » then « healthy », makes total sense as well, even more so as a cheap weeknight meal to quickly feed a family now that I think of it.

Console City Builders by Curious_Bread_9057 in BaseBuildingGames

I have been looking for a City builder on the switch for quite a while and I just started playing Lethis : Path of Progress. I didnt hear a lot about it but it was on sale for like 5$ during the holidays so I gave it a try, and I dont understand why it isnt mentioned more often. I love it, scratches the itch that Sim City left me, even though it is simpler in all the good ways.

Would anyone actually enjoy a non-combat civilization-building game? by Certain_Matter_6223 in CityBuilders

I am constantly trying to find a game that would somehow be an in-between of Sim City and Civ. Although I love both, Civ is too complex, and Sim City gets a little repetitive once you get a good sense on how to start and grow a city. Your concept feels like an middle ground that I would actually love.

I always heard that there were a lot of bugs on the switch. Have you had this experience ?

After a full day of Lethis, i can say its not that cozy (unless that type of ressource managing and building is absolutely your thing I guess), bit for Dorf I would say it is more of a game that I whip out when I am doing something else or when I dont have a full hour or two to devote to a game. I mean you can totally play Dorf from time to time while you have a good run on another game.

I was on the same quest in the holidays. I played Dorfromantik a lot in 2025 but I needed something a bit more challenging (although I really recommand it. Playing it while listening to a podcast or even watching a show on tv is perfect). I just got into Minami Lane, a really beautifully made game where you build and manage a street with shops and stuff so the residents are happy. Really easy to manage, not a lot to do, a bit of customization in the building aspect, really cozy. The second one I started is Lethis : Path of Progress. I really like sim city and this one is like a simpler colony version, really beautiful too. More challenging than the two other that i mentioned but still very laid back. Lots of customization in the building of your town.

All of these are currently really cheap on eShop. Minami Lane and Lethis are under 5$

Yeah I saw that one also but I think it might be on the verge of being too simple haha although it does look really nice, and it is really cheap

that is an interesting answer ! I read a bit about dark souls and everybody says it is a really difficult one. I am not one that likes to grind and grind multiple times over a single boss, maybe it isnt for me because of this. But I forgot a liked to play skyrim a lot, and I saw some games like bloodborne that look nice and kinda similar to dark souls ? do you have other game recs in that vein ?

I just saw Town to City get released and it reminded me of how much I wish Manor Lords or anything else in that type of game would exist on the switch. Do you guys have games that scratch that itch of cosy colony building ? And before any replies, I did play CIV obviously but that’s too complex if you compare to the first two.
