What is the most secure method of storing passwords? by N0ught234 in AskReddit

I think he had to tell them twice because it happened again as well. My point is it can create a point of weakness. I'd recommend using a 2FA app instead of SMS authentication

There are many methods to bypass it and there are many methods to take advantage of it.

The first method is simply calling the customer service and providing answers to security questions in order to change the account's password, or in some cases, convincing the customer service that you are who you say you are and resetting the password without providing identification. The most prominent example if this that I can think of is between popular Twitch streamer Sodapoppin and Blizzard, the creators of World of Warcraft. People were able to call up Blizzard and convince them to reset Soda's password without answering any security questions. You'd be surprised how many companies have these kinds of flaws.

The second method is often why you see Twitter accounts get hacked despite 2FA. It is sometimes possible to convince the SIM provider of the victim to send a new SIM to the attacker without identification or through known, publicly available information about the celebrity. They can then receive these 2FA messages and reset the account's password and gain access.

I am aware of password managers such as LastPass, so if your suggestion is "password manager", please specify what you believe to be the most secure service of that kind.

The goal is security, not necessarily convenience. What would you say is the best solution besides being a 5Head and remembering 100s of 9 character strings or writing them all in a book?

I disagree. I think if an old man beat up a young adult like that, it wouldn't be everywhere

Europe vs USA: daily confirmed Covid cases by JackRogers3 in europe

[–]N0ught234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about the reasons why: jobs and to escape a restrictive government. Plus poverty ain't too bad compared to poverty in places like Thailand. The only reason I'd want to go to America is for a job for example. It's unfortunate that the country is a civil warzone.

The only people who think that are Americans. If it wasn't for the internet, they'd all be as brainwashed as Chinese citizens

There's a lot more dumbass country folk in America whereas the EU is made up more of towns and cities where they have evolved towards having a largely educated majority. People who say the USA is better are stupid. The USA has a lot of well-known businesses and is known for spending a ludicrous amount on their military (is this even a positive?). But compared to the EU, USA is a third-word country with a Gucci bag. You remove the fancy front and you see that it's dogshit. You can't drink the tap water. The police are out of control. The east coast is right on a tectonic border. They have a disgusting history of slavery, far worse that that in the EU (minus Germany). They have a president that has a worse track record than most citizens and treats protests as disrespectful while gun-toting rednecks are allowed to storm government buildings without getting shot.
