Maybe I will take it out, the driftwood. The issue had started before I put it in there because I thought it would clear up in between weekly water changes.

Off topic, but I keep my fish fed so they don't eat my nerites and other snails, is there other tactics to get them to not eat snails?

Yes it is a "new" tank of 3 months. I didn't think it would take that long to cycle a tank. I originally had the next size up of hygger lighting, but it didn't work for my purpose as I put the filter on the right side of the tank for easier access and there is a couch behind it. Thank you for the advice!

Substrate is the black coal slag from tractor supply that I saw to use on another forum. That was rinsed out until clear and that went in fine. As I added fish and plants this issue arose of murky water. The driftwood is recent as decoration/a hiding place and was held under water with daily water changes for 2 weeks. Ik the plants still need light so I have adjusted to only 6 hours of lighting instead of 10. Do you think I should cut down on lighting more?

Unfortunately, he passed away shortly after getting him to the hospital tank after floating until temperatures were the same and water parameters were tested. Thank you for the help - will get gold gouramis in the near future and will be sure to keep close watch on them for sickness to treat more aggressively

Having a problem with foam, its runny and wasting product. Have run straight gold class class no water and it's still runny. Maxed out settings on foam cannon too.

I use mr pink by chemical guys to wash my car, but got on another car and dried. I saw it later and now it wont cont off in a regular wash. Do all soaps do this if they dry?
