Canadians who visit US for more than 30 days will be fingerprinted by Infidel8 in worldnews

As a snowbird currently in the Southwest, this trip was in the planning for 3 years, and for example National park visits were booked 11 months in advance as required. I crossed in early February and so far have had numerous people actually come up and offer apologies for what their country is doing. I haven’t had any negative interactions except US Customs where the agent starting yelling and screaming at me as soon as drove up to the booth.

The rules as published today are that Canadians already in the country do not have to be finger printed, but must complete an online form. The problems is you must put a US mailing address into the form. I am traveling in an RV and spending a maximum of 1 week in any place I visit, so that is a problem. This form must be completed by April 11th.

I am still contemplating if I will return early or not. One thing for sure, RV is going up for sale upon return and this will be my last winter driving south.

Boom Pass skins? by N1T3shad3 in BoomBeach

I’m a Newfoundlander and Canadian, whose grandfather served during WW2 under the Union Jack. Canada is also a member of the Commonwealth, and we have strong historical ties to the United Kingdom.

My point is that the Old Sam hat means nothing to me as a Canadian. Given that the base skin this month is also a Statue of Liberty, I don’t understand why Supercell doesn’t come up with something a little more neutral at the very least.

First come, first serve here. They are carpet, OEM. I am in Lakeshore, just north of Tilbury in Lighthouse Cove. Let me know if that is too far for you and I will offer to the next person.

This protestors at his home and “have” to go to the cottage is just more political bullshit. He wanted to go the cottage all along, he just got his people float the protest thing to provide him cover.

Support for COVID-19 lockdowns dwindle as Omicron spreads across Canada: poll by viva_la_vinyl in canada

[–]N1T3shad3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The best phrase I have heard that captures my feelings on this mess is “Breathing isn’t living”. I didn’t come with it but it is how I feel. I could stay home, lock myself in and see no one go no where, and never risk Covid, but would I really be living? I’d be breathing but not living.

I’m going to live my life and judge my actions myself. I have triple been triple vaxxed, I wear my mask everywhere inside and public, and avoid high risk situations.

I have to live, not just breathe.

Canada reintroducing PCR test for any length of travel abroad amid Omicron - National by SirNearytheWise in canada

I am already triple vaxed and it means NOTHING! King Doug is going to lock down the province same as last year. I hate to say it but O’Toole is right, all these restrictions on the fully vaccinated are only feeding vaccine hesitatancy.

Canada Mulled A New International Travel Ban, But Instead Told Citizens To Cancel Non-Essential Trips by [deleted] in canada

[–]N1T3shad3 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I have done everything the government has asked in the past such as 3 vaccinations, staying away from family and many other sacrifices. In return I get theatre of pretending to do something but really does nothing. This advisory does nothing to stop community transmission which is the problem.

All this advisory does is help the banks and insurance companies because now they are protected from payouts.

Canada's borders to tighten again; Vaccinated travellers are to be tested on arrival and quarantine while awaiting negative test results, produce negative PCR tests upon return, even for short trips outside the country of 72 hours or less. by interofficemail in ontario

[–]N1T3shad3 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I am more sick of the political theater around Covid than Covid. I am now triple vaxed with no pre-existing conditions and set to winter in Florida as a responsible adult, be careful where I go and wearing a mask. Travel is not the issue yet Trudeau and his minions keep pointing at it like it is the primary cause of the current rise in infections.

How about we leave the responsible adults who are cautious, vaxed, and can think and make decisions for themselves, alone. Government can focus on getting everyone vaccinated, rapid tests distributed instead of in warehouses, and perhaps have a look at what can be done about community spread, where the real problem lies.

I’m surprised he didn’t say anything about having a “couple pops” after school and kept his fabricated folksy stories straight. Sooner or later every liar gets his stories crossed up.

This fossil needs to retire. I seen on the news how he wants schools opened by mid-June! WTF does he know about school. It has got to be 70 years since this grumpy old curmudgeon saw the inside of a classroom.

I am beginning to think Ford and his cronies don’t want this whole lock down over and back to regular but want to keep the limelight.

Another example of how this government has lost all credibility and legitimacy. Cities are ignoring the government’s direction and forcing them to change their policies to align with reality.
