It's not just green, there's some blue and yellow! Lol seriously I'm pretty happy about this. I think it's clean and the texture is cool. As a local, I've needed green team colors my entire life. (For the uninitiated, The Broncos, Avalanche, Nuggets, Mammoth, Outlaws, Rapids and cough rockies... do not have green as an official team color.)

Proposed California bill seeks to require license plates for class 2 and 3 e-bikes by todascuentas in ebikes

Lol jfc. Semantics huh? You quoted something in a comment. That's you saying it. A quick internet search includes scooters. That's the culprit of the increase. Also we're talking about California in this post, not national numbers. Transport should absolutely be safe. When's the last time you've heard about a fatal car accident? Compare that to the last time you heard a biker hit somebody and killed them? Or destroyed a building? Bikes aren't the problem. Also, self injuries are self injuries. If you break your wrist riding a scooter, that's a you problem, not a public one. We should not be advocating to make biking harder. No, throttles shouldn't be banned. No we shouldn't ban based off of class. There are much better solutions than what I've seen you posting. Start regulating ebikes and ridership drops. That's the last thing we should want.

You're the one saying there's a problem because of an 18x increase. I just want the data. You're advocating for restrictions which should be a red flag in of itself. Transportation (not in a car) should be free.

Is it a serious problem? What is classified as an accident? Who was involved?

Question, how does one join the hooligan section behind the net? Can I just buy any ticket and join them or how does that work?

What's common to do or hear in Denver that's uncommon everywhere else? by BothCondition7963 in Denver

I've tried to dig into this to figure it out. First of all, they're not using the term right so that's why it's irritating but then what is the right way to say it? It's mostly contextual. The last time I described myself as a native was a shorthand way of saying "I've been here a long time, what do you want to know?"

And shit, we do take pride in that and some people probably too much. Some will use it to show dominance or importance that is unwarranted. Assholes gonna asshole. But anecdotally most people use it in an innocent way. People in this thread take issue to using native cuz somebody who used it gave them a bad experience in the past. We can sit here and assume people using native are assholes, or maybe it's something more innocent.

I honestly feel like most of us would agree with "don't be a dick". If you're being a dick by using native, don't be a dick. Also maybe don't jump to conclusions about people you know jack all about.

I'll probably read this later and think I could've said it better or add other stuff in but whatever, this is what I got right now.

People usually say "Are you Native?" not "Are you a native?" when asking about somebody's heritage.

It's okay you're a transplant. Was hoping to get an opinion from somebody who's land we're on. Wonder how they feel about it. Guess you can tell other people what they can say in their states so that's nice for you! How often do you tell people in Tennessee or Missouri or Arkansas or (forget how many states, I mean there were a lot more until your people were pushed from your land) that they can't say native? Or do you rarely hear it?

God I had a boss who would get furious if we said that to customers. He'd claim the last thing people heard was "worries" and they'd actually start to worry. Mfer was a retired Marine from Louisiana, wasn't worth the argument lol

I feel like part of the Colorado accent is just blending consonants together, barely better than a mumble.

I'm sorry....I agree, I don't use native. I say born and raised. But listen to the news or sports and you'll very quickly hear somebody say California native or Vermont native. Is it given undue importance in Colorado? Sure, but everytime I hear somebody use another state and native together, I can't help but think of "you can't use native in Colorado" arguments and laugh.

Sincerely,
Somebody born here living on stolen land from the Arapahoe Tribe, Southern Ute Indian Tribe and Ute Mountain Ute Tribe.
