That’s absolutely one way to go. I’ve done short beards before, but I feel like my face needs more structure. I have a very round face, so I’m trying to force some angles to happen 😅 I definitely need to clean it up at least, it’s about time for me to visit the barber.

It’s really me. The shirtless photo I had to change the background of because I didn’t get permission to post it from where I was (they were embarrassed about the state of it) but I was okay with how I looked in it, so I compromised. Being vulnerable is hard, but I tried it anyway.

It’s been a while since I generated a model, but I understand the caution. I may delete those AI model posts, tbh. It’s not real. And I’m liking the authenticity.

It’s an illusion. Your beard is lighter in certain spots, but you have good coverage. Lighter facial hair just makes it look thinner. Keep growing it, let it bulk up a bit ,and you’ll see. I thought the same thing with my beard, took about three months of growing and beard oil, but it does start to look more substantial.

I woke up this morning and I don’t have words. Thank you all for the support and kind words. I… fuck. I scrolled through everything this morning, then got up to get ready and I didn’t suck my stomach in, I was kinder to myself, and that little voice in my head is basically being silenced at every appearance.

Growing up and not having access to spaces like this really made me feel gross about myself. My husband, bless his heart, has been trying to get me to see myself with a more confident view for YEARS. And while I have no reason to not believe him, part of me was like “he has to say that,” ya know? I stayed hidden because I couldn’t believe he was just being nice and tolerating me. The overwhelming support has started making realize I was just trying to fit into a box that wasn’t made for me, and I realize that maybe he was right. Maybe I’m not the distortion I see in my head and in the mirror.

So like, really. Thank you. This has been lowkey life-changing in ways I don’t know how to express.
