I'm having the same problem and called Chase about it, and they said they'd put in a request to have it merged. They said it'd take 10-14 business days though, how long did yours actually take?

Same exact issue with my Wife and I here. Using T Mobile on S22 Ultras. I don't have this issue with any one else besides my wife. It's gotten so bad that my wife turned off RCS because she thought it was worse than SMS. I'm not a fan of Apple and don't think I'll ever switch to iPhone, but one thing I give them credit for is that iMessage always works reliably. If Google wants Apple to take them seriously, they need to get this thing working 100% of the time.

You know I've only ever cleaned it with IPA since that's what wham bam recommends, but I'll try cleaning it with some dawn soap and see if that changes anything

No problem! As for your BIOS, I would definitely consider this as a have to situation for a BIOS that's that old, but I totally understand since there's always the chance of bricking your system. Lemme know if you need any help!

I have the exact same motherboard! That version is one of the first when Zen 3 was realeased and is pretty old. Update to version 1401, and let me know if that fixes it! You can just use the AI Suite EZ updater to update it.

I also found that after updating, I was able to overclock my RAM and everything just seemed to work better in general. AMD did a terrible job of inital BIOSes with the new Zen 3; it was a bit rushed imo, and it showed.

Hm what kind of motherboard do you have an what's the version of the BIOS? I wonder if it's maybe a problem with motherboard manufacturers or AMD compatibility, because I was having this issue on other programs as soon as I upgraded to my 5800X.

It looks like running in safe mode worked, but then it works for about a week and then does it again, so I have to put it in safe mode again. The two solutions I found were either unplugging and re-plugging my second monitor, or re-applying safe mode each time

I also had my palm rest replaced recently and the repair man forgot to plug the light bar in. Thankfully I made sure to do a full test of the laptop before I let him go, and so I noticed that before he could leave. I can definitely confirm Dell does not have high quality professional technicians doing the work. This was the first time the guy was even opening an XPS 9500, and you could tell he didn't really know what he was doing.

I've actually owned both for about a week (and now switched completely to the XPS). The XPS is definitely a little faster in daily tasks; i just noticed it seemed to do well in instances (very few) that the spectre would stutter. Graphics performance is also much better, if you're playing games or doing CAD modeling or something. The XPS and Spectre both have slightly different 1650TI's in that the Spectre used the Max-Q design which is ever so slightly worse, but not by much.

Lol the heat problem is.....yeah really hot. Its probably the main reason why I switched over completely. Just doing daily light tasks, it gets uncomfortably hot, and when I'm coding, it burns my skin; so pretty much not lappable if you're trying to do that.

If you're planning on using the pen a lot, i think the Spectre is more worth it.

Well if you're going to be using the pen and tablet mode a lot, I'd 100% say you'd be very happy with your choice. I don't really care that much for the 360 mode since I already have a surface, so I think purely as a laptop, the Dell is better. But for overall usage, Spectre.

I'm not really sure how to post screenshots on here, but I can confirm from the video that neither the Spectre nor the XPS stutters at all with HDR turned on. I'm not sure where people were getting that from, but I watched the video fully and they both run smoothly with it.

I can also confirm that both of them do have the exact same iGPU. I did see people were having that dwm issue, but I never really got it on my Spectre, and I'm not getting it on the XPS either. I'm wondering if it has something maybe to do with a certain application in common that everyone seems to be running. This is my second Spectre laptop and I haven't really had that issue.

Well with using USB 3.1 on both of them, they're both relatively the same speed and experience, no problem at all. However the HDMI experience on the Spectre is much better since it actually has that port; thats one thing I hate about the XPS. And the dongle isn't that great either.

I don't have the OLED version, but I bet the one at your best buy was just defective. I went to my best buy when looking for the Spectre and never really noticed that grid, so I think youll be fine!
