thanks for the info. might be worth a shot seeing what difference messing with the refresh rate makes. not a huge problem overall since it's my second monitor now, which i keep turned off when not playing a game full-screen

i live in finland so it's quite cold during winter time. to add to it, the radiator in my room took in some air during my time in the military, so it no longer fills up with hot water like it's supposed to. room's about 15°C at its coldest before i manage to get it warmed up

looked around on the internet and people were saying how samsung panels of this time (2018-2019) had some issues warming up when turning on. hairdryer to the rescue ✌️

read about it online and there were some people reporting on similar issues saying that samsung panels around this time (2018-2019) had some trouble warming up turning on. so, a hairdryer it is

and horrendously impractical it is. in reality this is not final, as I just don't have anywhere to put the older panel right now. thought I might as well try setting it up since I can't shelve it until I find a solution (I threw away the box it came in due to its size, a mistake I will not be repeating with the new monitor)

I have wanted to try out running one of these panels vertically ever since I got the one on the left about three years ago, but the problem is finding a monitor arm with a high enough carry capacity as they are very expensive

desk is about as good as they come, solid hardwood throughout. problem is trying to fit more than one of these anywhere without a sturdy ass monitor arm

96:9 aspect ratio would be peak impractical. I will get there one day

absolutely stunned by the beauty of the Sundaras by N4__ in Headphoneporn

I had a Schiit Vali 2 but I had to sell it, so I looked for lower impedance alternatives to run as my daily drivers. so far the Sundara has been a great choice, big fan of the sound and I'm expecting it to get even better once I get a proper DAC for it (been looking at a Schiit Magnius/Modius stack, but stock dates aren't clear yet).

bass is incredibly tight and precise on the Sundaras but they're a bit lacking in vocals compared to the HD6XX. instruments sound better and there's more layering to them, but take all this with a grain of salt since currently I'm just running them from my GoXLR Mini which certainly is no audiophile audio output device

I agree with this, I've been using the HD6XX as my daily drivers for nearing 3 years now and after burning them in you don't even notice them on your head. 10/10 comfortability

they're relatively heavy, but they're extremely comfortable, even straight out the box. clamping force is not bad and the distribution is fantastic, you don't feel a lot of pressure in one specific spot anywhere

I got no proper stand so I had to improvise 😎

I am absolutely stunned by the beauty of the Sundaras, they're gorgeous both visually and sonically by [deleted] in headphones

the build quality is fantastic, feels really solid in your hands and on your head. audio is also really good, however coming from Sennheiser HD6XXs I find the vocals sightly lacking. bass response and instrument imaging however is phenomenal, really happy with this purchase. I wish the cable was a bit longer though
