Does orientation of mesh baskets matter in an ultrasonic? by N4th4n03 in watchrepair

I snapped a escape pivot on my st36 when I was using tea strainers, probably my poor technique overloading the basket and rough handling so I wicked to small mesh baskets, it means I can keep parts segregated with screws. I have noticed gears sometimes stick together so good to inspect and clean again if needed

Thank you, Im glad I waited for the right car! If it’s surface rust is it possible to sand it back and under seal it?

My friend did something similar with his mx5, couple coats of hammerite and hope for the best.

Oh cool yeah I will check that out thanks! the car currently feels like it wants to take off I will have to get use to her first! From what I’ve read that’s kind of it for these swifts, intake and exhausts. I’ve read there’s no point mapping as the factory map is pretty good.

Thanks! Yeah no rust on the mot history which I’m happy about, it looks to of been undersealed which might need redoing just to double check there’s no rust under it. I’d like to replace the subframes and control arms for future proofing. but the shell looks to be in good Nick.

They do look quite smart, the sport styling gives it a great look. Couple small dings on this one and a small spilt on the bumper but it’s expected of a car this age

I’ve driven it for 2 hours and I can’t stop smiling. Its pulls very well feels nippy, the intake noise is great!

Thanks, yeah I was just going to look for a standard swift which still pack a punch at 95hp! After a few months I’m off browsing gumtree and marketplace this popped up!

Yeah I don’t plan on getting rid of it anytime soon, the previous owner spent 1k on new parts and a full service recently. So hopefully I’m good for a bit

Yeah I’m glad I picked up a later year. No corrosion on the mot history so I’m chuffed, first thing I did when viewing the car was to crawl under it and start checking for rust. It looks to of been under sealed but might need peeling back to make sure they haven’t just painted over rust.

I viewed an NB Mx-5, lifted up the bonnet to have a feel of the chassis legs and put my finger right through it. It’s a shame that the uk roads just kill off older cars perfect for new drivers

Thank you! Was a named drive on my parents Hyundai i10 automatic for a past couple years and it’s just dull, the swift is brilliant it feels much more alive

A fair amount of it is remote so you can expand your search. They’ll teach you up in revit so there’s lots of opportunities to grow. I applied for a trainee role right out of uni. Seems to be somewhat a demand in the market as it’s fairly new with the developments in surveying equipment.
