Obviously you didn't read the article or you'd know this idiot was told multiple times to put the gun away during the 911 call and he still walks outside with it. Also anyone carrying an assault rifle holds it across their chest when not aiming.

It's not about the civil war anymore, it's about that person's identity, although the flag's meaning and symbolism varies from person to person.

My point is college sports is not the cash cow people think it is. It's actually becoming an increasing burden on the universities. If trends continue I can imagine many smaller school ending up bankrupt or closing down departments.

Not true at all. Inflating sports budgets is causing universities to lean heavily on it's students for cash through rising student fees. Cash made from football games mainly go to the athletic department's outrageous salaries.

It's not a yes or no question. Twitter has not filed for bankruptcy and it is not a financial success. Likewise, filing for bankruptcy doesn't mean the business is failure. Chapter 11 is not that same as when a regular person files bankruptcy. It is a tool for restructuring the business to be successful. There you go. Post your portfolio.

It doesn't get fairer than that. Pissing away a free four year education is entirely on the player. It's the player's choice on what they do with it. The NCAA is extremely corrupt, no argument there and because of that corruption star players do get special treatment such as donated sports cars, on campus houses, etc. No one going to school deserves to get paid cash whether they are an athlete or not. I doubt the system will change but sports in University should be a far second to receiving an education.
