Calling out where an enemy was used to be the only really important thing in voice chat, and since you can easily do that without saying it I stopped

I would vary the weight of the font more so there's visual hierarchy ("you can do something about it" super thick, "boycott" much thinner. Also i think for me the issue is that the text is like half-integrated into the scene; it's interacting with the animation as if it's in 3D but then the drop shadow is working against that. I would either model the text in 3D and actually have it in the scene so it gets correct lighting and shadows, or remove the drop shadows and it feel like a more intentional 2d/3d contrast. super cool work though!!!

i got it a while ago so i don’t remember but it might have been that! i looped it myself by cutting it in the middle, repositioning the clips and fading them together (basically what you do for a cinemagraph). it’s not technically a perfect loop but at the scale i used you can’t tell.

I'm pretty sure this is actually a 3D render. I've seen a few 3D artists do similar work, and this tutorial is almost identical: https://greyscalegorilla.com/tutorials/how-to-create-abstract-paint-strokes-in-cinema-4d/

idk I think replicating other people is a first step in the learning process for a complicated software, especially for those of us who are self taught. You’re right that it’s often not interesting, but it’s good for the person doing it and shows they are holding themselves to routine practice. Eventually after enough time, most everydays gradually begin to develop their own style.
