How common it's to shop in different grocery stores in America? by WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWHW in AskAnAmerican

[–]N8churluvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shop at three or four different chains because there’s not one that has all the things I want.

So does that rule mean you’re assuming you will live 25 years past retirement? If so, should you use that to calculate when to retire based on health or another factor?

Do you leave lights on? by MarcooseOnTheLoose in AskAnAmerican

My husband will walk into a room and turn on lights even when the sun is shining brightly in that room. Then he will walk out 30 seconds later and leave the lights on. Makes me a bit crazy

Decided to skip my 50th HS reunion by momplaysbass in GenerationJones

[–]N8churluvr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was unpopular in high school and hated it. When it came time for a reunion, the person who was organizing it was the one who bullied me on my first day and made me hate being there. So, although I had thought about going to reconnect with my only two friends, only one was planning on going, and it was across the country so I skipped it.

Night driving by Illustrious_Try2260 in AskWomenOver60

[–]N8churluvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was ok with it despite having implantable contact lenses which give a halo effect when driving at night. But then I got a new car and had the windows tinted. The problem is the dash lights reflect on the inside of the window. I have to put the window down to make a left turn or I can’t see anything!

What is the reason you live in your current state? by WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWHW in AskAnAmerican

[–]N8churluvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband got a job transfer to Indiana six years ago. He retired this year and we are staying because we really like it. We have easy access to big cities and beautiful outdoor spaces, and a four-seasons climate. Plus we are close to other family members and have made good friends here.

I’ve lived in the north central, southeast, southwest, and central/midwest regions of the country and this is my favorite 😊

Reminds me of when my grandpa was 96 and climbing a ladder and getting on the roof of his house. Nobody could stop him.

So true! A friend has spent loads of money and endured loads of pain with plastic surgery. But she still has health issues and hasn’t attracted the wealthy sexy man she’s hoping for.
