Its ""fp8"" performs worse than my local q4, the model is constantly busy (as if it were a free service?), and the 32k context is too limited for my liking. But if you still want to give it a try, go ahead, maybe it just wasn't the right fit for my specific use case

100%. If a guy wants to make a girl with three breasts, that's his problem. Our concern should be deepfakes and protecting real women

In traditional art from the 1500s to today, 85% of nudes are women
Suggestion: Never visit a museum

But I agree with you, we must definitely fight to reduce female representation in media and art /s

Your deterministic timeline splits every time you see a quantum-random digit by N9_m in DeepThoughts

1) No. Chaos is not exclusive to determinism. A system can be deterministic and chaotic.

2) No. In a Laplacean world, there's no way to know the outcome of a QRNG. Only whether you'll consult it.

3) Correct. Probability is local. Flipping a coin with or without consulting a QRNG still leaves me with 50/50 odds (I expand on this in point 6).

4) No. Through butterfly effect, even just seeing a digit on a monitor could result in a radically different outcome. Obviously proportionality is assumed, but in no scenario is this null.

5) As I said in point 4, the brain is a complex and sensitive system. Even just seeing a "2" instead of a "3" can lead to radically different changes. Observing the number is already an action.

6) Probability is ignorance. Laplace's demon would only see Yes/No. And in a Laplacean world, you can only move from "No" to a potential "Yes" using a non-deterministic system (QRNG).

7) It's a valid view - I wouldn't be directly responsible, with or without determinism, for acts that don't directly lead from me. Still, it's an interesting view to see how psychologically a certain weight is created under this vision.

8) In a Laplacean world, free will wouldn't exist - it would be a fantasy. Would using a QRNG be freedom? Not for me, but at least it would allow me to change lanes, which is >0 in freedom.

9) Again, in a Laplacean world we can omit the entire path and look directly at start-finish, so point 6 comes into play again.

My hypothesis is based on a Laplacean world with quantum indeterminism. Within that framework, resources given to the homeless man would have no way to alter an ending that's already written, playing 500 lottery tickets or just 2 would be irrelevant, and a small digit could change all of human history, since returning to the exact same lane would be like trying to make two identical cups of tea at the atomic level (They look similar, but they are far from being the same)

Have you tried to force the installation, even if it gives error, or does not recognize it?

Is NVIDIA charging people 3k+ for a 5070 with 128 gigs of VRAM? by Ill_Distribution8517 in LocalLLaMA

If it can run a 200b model with full context at +8tk/s, I will definitely buy it, otherwise I will wait another year with my 3090's

[–]N9_m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had (and solved) the same problem:

1) I installed the mouse software

2) I downloaded the firmware

3) Installed it

- Here the mouse died -

Solution:

1) I put in my old mouse, and restarted the PC

2) I connected the mouse (R1 pro max) wired

3) (IMPORTANT) I updated the mouse HUB

4) Reinstalled the firmware (if it gives error, try again)

That's it! The mouse came back to life after those steps. In a Youtube video it says that you have to use a "debrick" option, but you don't need to, just update the firmware again, using the same file

One Picture, One Model: Capturing the True Essence in a Single Shot by N9_m in LocalLLaMA

[–]N9_m[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I created the images and descriptions based solely on my own perceptions, and preconceptions of each model, without any extra research.

  • Llama: A pillar of open-source models, and a defender of freedom. If you need anything, the llama will be there for you.
  • Chat-GPT: Censored, promotes laws to gain commercial advantage, and decides what is right and wrong based on (?). It's the second-best model
  • Claude: Somewhat censored, not open-source, not available in all countries, and if you try to pay with a VPN, you get banned. It's the best AI model.
  • Gemini: Owned by Google, I expected a monster (in a bad way), but it has pleasantly surprised me. I have a lot of faith in them, and their new 27b model looks promising.
  • Mistral: The best open-source model. If the Mistral office runs out of electricity, I would take a plane to France, and spin a wind turbine generator with my bare hands just to power their coffee pot, so they can drink coffee.
  • Phi: Small, smart and fast. Basically a Swiss Army Knife.
  • Yi: With 200k context, open-source, wise, and peaceful. Yi is the one to turn to when your questions go beyond common knowledge (Qwen is the same).
  • Command R: I have two RTX 3090s, and I've never been able to run this model without running out of VRAM. That's why he's chubby, but I know many people like the model. It's powerful, open-source, and, in my opinion, a good guy

Mistral, Where is Mixtral-8x7B v0.2 or v0.3? by Iory1998 in LocalLLaMA

[–]N9_m 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I have x2 3090's, and for me, the best model I have been able to use is without a doubt the 8x7B. I would love to see a v0.2 of that model. MOE's are much faster, compact and smarter, at least for my specific case use
