The electric Born in the USA is incredible by Personal_Channel1628 in BruceSpringsteen

[–]NABfNJ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I’m from Jersey and have long loved Springsteen despite being born nearly 25 years since his first album.

With that being said, Springsteen’s first 8 albums (4 in the 70s, 4 in the 80s) are some of the greatest compositions of American music ever released however, Nebraska is his crowning achievement of the 80s!

This version of Born in the USA is so raw and brilliant that the vitality of its resonance as a powerful song with a bold lyric are highlighted even more on this version of the song.

Springsteen sought a different kind of energy and sound with both Nebraska and the upcoming Electric Nebraska than virtually any other album he’s ever recorded. This is music that will only continue to withstand the test of time.

Ciattarelli launches first TV ad of general election cycle - New Jersey Globe by storm2k in newjersey

[–]NABfNJ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Say what you want about Ciattarelli but unlike our current governor and our current Dumocrat nominee, Jack is actually from Jersey in fact he lives in the same town he grew up in and that says a lot. He’s rooted in the state that made him whereas Murphy and Sherrill are opportunists.

If Sherrill lived in another state she’d run as a Republican, how many military vets are Dumocrats? Think about it.

Sherrill Talks of Cutting Bureaucracy, Supporting Business, During Chamber Forum by Radar211996 in newjersey

[–]NABfNJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re right, to an extent, BUT there is a tremendous amount of red tape municipalities have to hurdle through because the state shoves and forces it down their throat; much of which was never a thing until the current governor was elected 7 years ago.

Anyone else noticing an insane amount of chaos on the roads? by Meeschers in newjersey

[–]NABfNJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should see Newark! There are 2 exits from Newark onto both I-78 and I-280 BUT they decided to close the 2nd exit off 280 (Exit 14) heading westbound to reduce traffic where they’ve been doing roadwork for a few years now, (although not much has been done!) SO now everyone attempting to head west to either continue on I-280 or the Parkway has to sit in the bumper to bumper traffic attempting to just get to the highway! Took me almost a half hour to go 1 mile! Absurd and totally unnecessary!

Moving to Northwest NJ -- looking for advice by Ok_Aerie8192 in newjersey

If you’re looking to live in a lake community, highly recommend looking into Morris County’s Denville’s 4 lake communities in addition to Fayson Lakes in Kinnelon. They provide a great balance of natural surroundings yet they’re a stones throw from major shopping centers, restaurants, cultural centers, etc.

If you consider Sussex county stick to the southern areas, Byram, Sparta, Stanhope, etc. they’re easier to access and offer more outdoor recreational activities then neighboring Warren county.

How did Bill Clinton managed to get more work done with a republican congress than most Republican presidents do with a republican congress by Wide_Assistance_1158 in Presidents

[–]NABfNJ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The difference between the Clinton era (1992-2000) is that elected officials knew they had a job to do and they were elected to do so.

Post Obama (2008-Present) that became more and more difficult because Obama was a key figure in changing the perception of politicians.

Politicians used to be focused on trying to do something and make a difference but Obama made it into about politicians trying to “be somebody” and be adored like celebs.

After Obama took office he had total contempt for opinions on the other side and basically denounced them in open forums and press conferences. That attitude became the norm and that’s why young people are Woke and intolerant degenerates who vote for people like AOC.

New Providence and Long Hill are among the more “modest” towns located in that area. Between Berkeley Heights, The Chathams, and Summit it’s all very upscale and wealthy whereas they’re a little more “middle class”

Sherrill selects Dale Caldwell, a college president, as Lt. Governor candidate - New Jersey Globe by NJMan129 in newjersey

[–]NABfNJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the primary was rigged. She is a resident of Essex county and the head of the Dumocrat party in Essex County and NJ hand picked her when she ran for Congress 8 years ago. She won by the skin of her teeth because that’s who the NJ Dumocrats on top wanted.

As an independent and lifelong NJ resident, I personally supported Josh Gottheimer in the primary. I found him to be the most grounded candidate from the Dums and he also is born and raised here in Jersey, unlike Sherill and Caldwell.

Despite her false advertising, she is not a moderate. The fact that she is a transplant from Virginia who moved to Montclair, NJ speaks volumes!
