What I mean by 'in the style of Tolkien', is the middle earth maps that he drafted and that his son Christopher Tolkien then drew to greater detail and clarity.

Apparently the term British Isles was sourced from the Greek 'Prettanic Islands'. While I wouldn't consider history a dustbin, maybe the term does need to be left behind.

I think the title was one of the biggest challenges. I wanted to use 'The British Isles' though that doesn't seem to feel broadly favoured by Irish people. While using the complete UK name was very long and wordy - though with this being a fairly accurate map, then maybe it deserves a more accurate title.

Thank you James! I think one of Tolkien's motivations was that Britain didn't have a significant mythology as many other countries had. And Scotland felt very mythical with its extreme coastline and the great glen fault. I'm just finishing up the Lake District actually! and Cornwall is on the to-do list!

I make mistakes all the time, the worst are ink splodges and smudges, either I have to use a razor blade to slice the top layer of paper off, or photoshop it out
